La Jolla Sports Club Review

I absolutely love going to La Jolla Sports Club! The team members here are great at what they do! I am always greeted with a smile and sometimes by name! I highly recommend this gym. As much fun as I m having going here, I m also achieving my fitness goals! Thank you La Jolla Sports Club!

I just moved to La Jolla and this gym is perfect! Great facility and great location! It has absolutely everything you need and more! The staff, trainers, and owners are fantastic! I highly recommend this gym!

I have been a member here for many years. Great club, great staff, great trainers and great classes. The new owners have really put their all into it. It has everything you need in a health club and more.

The La Jolla Sports Club is one of the best health clubs in all of San Diego. I have had the pleasure of being a member the last 8 months or so and I have zero complaints. The staff and personal trainers are all extremely friendly and ready to help you out with any questions you may have. The facility itself is well maintained with newer equipment, updated group fitness classes, and personal televisions for the cardio machines. Overall this health club is perfect. Best of all it is never very crowded and is centrally located in downtown La Jolla.

My wife and I love this place. They are very friendly to military and offer really reasonable rates when you consider all the gym offers (proximity to town, free parking, great gym with space, social events, 80+ free classes a week and amenities).

Everyone in the gym seems to love be being a member (multiple people stopped us on our tour and told us to join). Brett and Kira (the owners) are always around and could not be friendlier. I think they are a big reason for a great culture at the club.

The La Jolla Sports Club is different from other clubs in San Diego. It is tucked away and isn't crowded like the other gyms so you don't have to wait for weights or other equipment. Also, they're group classes are great and the instructors are passionate about their work!

Easy parking, great daycare, friendly staff and all the machines and weights you need.

What a great experience as soon as you walk in the door. Everyone smiles and welcomes you. Its great to see the new owners Bret and Kera always there. I notice they always remember everyone's name and have genuine interest in you. The club is loaded with the very best equipment.
The trainers are very very nice also.

After years of wanting to check out the La Jolla Sports Club, my husband and I finally did their 5-day free trail over the long, holiday weekend and we are happy we did so!! Today we officially cancelled our 24 Hour Fitness memberships which we've had for years and were stoked to do in exchange for a big upgrade.

On our first day at the gym we meet Kera, the co-owner, who is lovely. She took time to show us the facilities, learn about our wellness needs and gave recommendations about fitness, supplements and physical therapy which we appreciated. She's a local resident so it's nice knowing she cares about her business and clients (vs. a big gym who doesn't).

The La Jolla Sports Club has a nice facility, provides members towels and natural toiletries which is a great, plus, have chilled eucalyptus towels which are oddly amazing!! They have a new infrared sauna which helps you get rid of toxins. I haven't checked out their classes yet but plan to do at least a few different once. I highly recommend you check the club out!

Instructors, trainers, owners, clientele, everyone is working together for our good health and awesome strength. Thank you all!!

Can't beat the location. This gym is so convenient. The staff is kind and greets you when you walk-in. The facility, in general, is clean and organized.

I have been working out at this place for over 10 years it s amazing and even though it has changed ownership the classes are great there is a good variety of equipment to work out on and the staff is very friendly. The pricing is very fair and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a local gym.

We were traveling from out of town and couldn't have found a better place to work out. The owners are so approachable and kind.

La Jolla Sports Club is on point and has everything you'd ever need in a gym. Super friendly trainers, clean and fresh equipment, fantastic group classes. Plus, I've met the owners and they genuinely care about their customers which is great to see! Just like nail salons, LJ Village is not short on gyms, yoga studios, cycling studios... the list could go on, but LJSC is all you'll ever need!

This place is awesome. My wife and I were in La Jolla for a month and went here almost daily. It's super clean, the staff are great, and they have amazing classes.

Everything you would need in a sports club from the machines to the lockers and showers. Definitely a well run sports club.

La Jolla Sports Club Is an awesome gym and fitness center while in La Jolla. Great location, clean and friendly staff. And terrific weight area too.

I have only been here a couple times, but that's all I need....VERY IMPRESSIVE! This place is a DREAM to train(workout, exercise) at. They spared no expense on equipment, and it shows. If you're experienced in the industry you will quickly appreciate the detail that went into this club. The amenities were extremely impressive as well: the class schedule is stacked, clean kids club, extremely impressive locker rooms with steam room and sauna, towels(bath and hand sizes)- they even have chilled towels in the locker room! Front desk staff, their first impression, was spot on. They are welcoming, polite, and professional. I can't tell you how important that is! Other team members super friendly as well. The trainers are educated, which you can quickly see in the way they train- I also can't stress how important that is to get right- La Jolla Sports Club is doing a lot of things right! If you're a long time resident of La Jolla/ San Diego, or are just visiting for business/vacation, go catch a workout here, you will be impressed!

I've lived in La Jolla for over 7 years and hands down La Jolla Sports Club is the best gym in the area. The staff is amazing, facility is clean, and equipment is new. There are a ton of classes to choose from and they even have cryo and iv therapy! I recommend LJSC to all of my friends who live in La Jolla.

Excellent facilities, but what really makes this place awesome is the staff! They are all so friendly, helpful, and really keep me motivated.

When you walk into the La Jolla Sports Club, you are always greeted by at least one of the gym staff behind the desk. The atmosphere is clean, friendly, and people are willing to help you if you need it.
My personal trainer, Carl I., works with me for an hour every other week. He gives me exercises which will help how I walk and how to build up strength in my right arm and core. Every time I finish doing exercise, whether taking a class or working with Carl, my muscles afterwards will feel it.
Regular towels are supplied by the gym, as well as refrigerated ones if you become sweaty or are too hot. Cold drinking water is also provided. After finishing exercise, you can even take a hot shower. The gym supplies the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and finally lotion. What more can you ask for?

On holiday . We like to work out a little and tried several fitness/gym senters around LA. This is by far the best . Not only the place it self but friendly and easy registration !! Best !

This is the best gym I have ever been to. The staff was very accommodating, and their classes are excellent. They have a very large option of classes which is nice if you can't make one on time. All of the trainers are very friendly and want to help out.

I left due to a long-term injury and because my apartment complex has a new gym. But I do see myself starting a new membership in the future!

Was 5 now 4. It's hard being a great gym, but I have been to them and I miss them very much. Won't miss this one as much. Maxx, my trainer, is a major reason the 4th star stays and doesn't go to 3. How you treat your customer and client is EVERYTHING, especially in small business.

LJSC is a fantastic club. Since Brett and Kera, the new owners, the club has undergone a remodel, new stuff, cleaner, more fun, better environment, staff, etc etc. I couldn't be more pleased with the way they run the club!!

My daughter and I have been members at LJSC for almost 3 years. The facility is top notch and the staff is very kind, courteous and welcoming especially Stephanie and Chris at the front desk. Neil M is the best trainer in San Diego! Great spot to train and workout!
