La Fonda of Lafayette Review

The food tasted good at first, but was salty, and couldn't finish. My date had the same experience. Server was not on her game. Asked for sweet tea and got unsweet. Apparently they don't have sweet tea. She could have just told me. Then my coke was empty for at least 10-15 minutes and it was needed to balance out the salt. Just expected more since this is a higher end Mexican restaurant and has been in business for almost 65 years.

This is definitely one of the best place to eat in the region. Whenever I go there I am incredibly satisfied. They preserve their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they offer. You surely will enjoy this this place. Very recommended.

The food and service were outstanding. We had a large party and the staff made every effort to accommodate us and continued to see to our needs, even though they were extremely busy.

Food was not that good. 1 waitress to take care of half the dining area.

Truly a staple of the community. A place that has been in town for so long means it has quality and consistently good.
Do the fish tacos...your stomach will thank you...unless you hate fish...in which case your tummy will be angry...nobody likes an angry tummy. But it can't leave without you...so you grab that tummy and you say man up and stuff another taco down there.
Then your tummy will be full and take a nap as you enjoy their amazing margaritas.
Eat here...do it.

Let's be honest here - it's the margaritas, fried rabbit, nachos, fried chicken, and the steak kabobs. A couple of the chicken dishes are very scrumptious as well. Come for a drink, stay to be seen. #FondaFriday

The food was very good and flavorful. The server was friendly and efficient. This was one of the cleanest restaurants we've ever been in. A friend recommended this place and I can see why. We can't wait to go back and try more choices on the menu.

Great atmosphere, impeccable customer service, impressive menu.. the margaritas are top notch. Highly recommend and always a favorite restaurant choice.
