The food is always good here. But the waitress always has to be reminded about napkins and silverware.

Everything we've ordered has been great, from Pizza to Shrimp Scampi, and the Alfredo is amazing.

Its your basic Italian. Old fashion pizza and meatballs and the rest. Good location and service. They do have take out.

I come from the east coast, specifically Philadelphia and south Jersey, where pizza is a sacred thing that we take for granted as good pizza exists on every street corner.when my family moved here over 10 years ago i was shocked to find the sorry excuses for pizza people have come to accept in Arizona. Only after YEARS of trial and error have i found anything that even comes close and there are less than 5 " acceptable" pizzerias in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST ONE! Not only do i consider it " on par" with the average pizza from back east, its up there with THE BEST pizzas ive ever eaten. and i can honestly say some of what La Famiglia has to offer is BETTER than ive had anywhere on the east coast( specifically their white pizza with grilled chicken).and i actually did not go here for the pizza at all. It was one of the few Italian restaurants we liked to frequent due to the quality, fresheness of the food, their full and accurate menu( its frustrating that so many places mis-identify classic dishes and you expect you ordered one thing but you get their " interpretation" of it and its a totally different thing), excellent service and pleasant atmosphere even when they're busy. Only after eating here on occasion for a year or two did we ever order a pizza.it was late and didnt feel like driving to Scottsdale or downtown tempe to grab a pizza, or settling for a plfp (pizza like food product) from a discount fast food chain. Our first order was a" safety" order( kind of a baseline " if they cant get this right its not worth my time" basic test) of a pizza with sausage, onions and green peppers, and a hawian for the kids. Both were fantastic. Great legitimate sliced iItalian sausage fresh vegetables, just enough sauce that was flavorful, zesty and just the right amount of sweetness.the crust can only be called PERFECT.the most common failure of most pizza places here is the crust. Its hard to quantify exactly how they screw it up but its just off. That is not the case with La Famigila.its just PERFECT. After that we got the white pizza with chicken. If you like white pizza you HAVE TO TRY IT. It is amazing. Hands down the greatest ive ever had. I cant really say any more about it.and the grilled chicken was seasoned amazingly.im hooked.ill be back again... frequently.

Miscommunication between us and waiter about wing sauce but he was more than happy to give us correct sauce to pour over wings. Wing sauce brought(by bus boy) ended up being same sauce as the first. My husband and son then both overheard cook commenting how we should go to wingstop if we want special sauce? They continued to make comments and we felt it was inappropriate to talk about their customers so rudely, at least wait till we leave, lol.

Had my wedding dinner at the restaurant turned out perfect! All 60 guest couldn't believe what great service and the food was. Taste just like Italy! When I have dinner party's at home I order the big trays and don't have to worry about cooking. Love love love this place!! It should get more than a 5 star rating.

worst ever. I've never left a review before but this was just horrible. first off the take out cashier was so loud and complaining about customers orders. the mozzarella sticks were tasteless and chewy. my boyfriend got the chicken Francis and he said the chicken was overwhelmed with lemon and tasted microwaved. i ordered a calzone which was under cooked with barely any toppings. the ricotta was runny.

Terrible customer service experience. Working GrubHub and had to pick up a delivery at this restaurant. The hostess refused to give me the order because of a glitch in the system not displaying the order correctly. I showed her my app and explained that I had the order and displayed confirmation of the order with every detail included and still she refused to give me my order. Canceled the food and will never return to this restaurant. I recommend you don't either unless you enjoy being treated like a thief and a criminal when you're just trying to pick up your order.

Penna Ala vodka is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Everything was good though. Kids meal was very big and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

The rice balls were just heaven! And the thin crust pizza, divine!

Absolutely my favorite to go place for italian! The rice ball (arancini) amazing. Not very many places offer this. The key is their house made mother sauce. Garlic knots...forget about it! Never been disappointed and always consistant! Sauce is so good my son eats it by the spoonful on its own!

If you are from the East coast and understand what amazing pizza this is the place to go.... By far the best pizza in Arizona!!!!

Waited almost three hours for an order to deliver (ordered via GrubHub). No response, no apology, no pizza. Restaurant just kept saying "almost there". Cancelled it. Don't recommend.

Follow up:
Three hours later they arrived with hot pizza and complimentary cake. I let them know I already cancelled the order, but they went ahead and comped the whole order. The issue was apparently they didn't see the GrubHub order (maybe it's new to them, who knows?). Anyways, nice gesture. The food was good. Good thin pizza, awesome garlic knots.

May consider ordering again, but I'd have to have a backup meal ready just in case!

I typically only like homemade pasta, but their baked ziti with meat sauce is so good. Pizza is good. Calzones and stromboli, too.

The food is authentic. You might wait a while for your food, but it's worth it.

Takes a long time to get your food maybe because sicilian takes longer to cook. The food is very good but a like pricey. Customer service wasn't that great but I notice they threat local a lil better then first timers.

Wrong food. Stale bread. N0 butter. The dessert was even ok. Not great.

Went here for lunch one day. Definitely try the calzone when you order.

Server was friendly and prompt. Owner/chef and his pizza guy are a nice always and give a kind word to my hubby who loves to talk making pizza...Pizza ravioli and Greek salad always awesome. Got garlic bread and 3 fried app... good as usual too. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

It's a great place to just sit down and have a quiet lunch with family. The missus and I went with our youngest two and enjoyed our meal.

I was introduced to this amazing family-owned restaurant a couple months back. The thought of returning to experience their delicious Italian dishes has crossed my mind multiple times.

Not overly impressed, lasagna sauce was definitely out of a can, the red wine was somehow under room temperature I had to add ice, service was mediocre at best. Granted I was there on a Monday lunch, but that should not matter.

Hands down best pizza in the East Valley. If you are looking for top quality authentic New York pizza, look no further.

The bread they make is quite good, but the pastas and sauces and great. The service was OK, but is definitely worth the trip.

Updated review: they have really stepped up the service. Our last server was fantastic.

Also, try the pepperoni rolls. You will NOT be sorry.

This place is DELICIOUS!! However, the spaghetti sauce tastes like tomato paste with sugar, ZERO seasoning!! ZERO!! Lasagna sauce, great, with seasoning, alfredo sauce, also white clam sauce (TONS of , literally, TONS), both excellent too. The peanut butter cheesecake, wasn't very firm, collapses, the Oreo cheesecake, YUM YUM YUM!!

This place is absolutely incredible. Try the lasagna pizza and you won't be disappointed. Easy top 3 AZ pizza places.

Went to a network meeting here. Had a slice of cheese pizza and a little bit of salad. Their food and service are great though, as I used to go every two weeks for meetings! Very nice family that owns and runs it.

I have been going here for years for their pizza. Today after saying it many times.. I am going to try something different. I was reluctant to order this as I asked if they "pounded the chicken" - They said No. Mimmo gave me a lesson on why it is so tender and juicy. I tried their chicken parm.. Grandmother style. So not only did I enjoy it.. apparently I had to eat my own words (eating crow) and tell him how good it was.

Family owned restaurant, with authentic Italian food. The owners are a wonderful couple, the most gracious hosts.

Not good at all. White pizza was doughy and way undercooked same with the french chicken and the sauce was like fake soy goo. They used a LOT of ricotta on the white pizza but being way under cooked really ruined it. Bread was old and probably refrigerated from previous day's. Had a slight vinegar smell.

Shame I was hoping to find a good local Italian place.

Sadly I had to move my Note Investor Forum to another restaurant that could accommodate my group. Over the last 2 years, the La Famiglia staff became our friends. They were always kind and looking out for the attendees. The food was great. I wish they had a larger room. They deserve a 10 star rating. Dave

Love this place. It was my first time and I was wowed. Steve was our waiter and he made our experience awesome. Yummy food that was cooked to order! And try their sangria!!!! 10/10 will come back(:

Delicious New York style Italian food. I had Shrimp Parmesan which I can't find anywhere else in AZ. My boyfriend had Veal Scallopini. They were both amazing. I ordered a side salad which I shared with my boyfriend cause it was huge. We shared a black and white cookie for dessert and brought home 2 slices of Grandma pizza which we ate the next day. Everything was out of this world. We'll be back. You've got to try them. You won't be disappointed!!!

The atmosphere and food here are phenomenal. I've never left any other way than pleasantly full. Try the spaghetti and meat sauce, it is extremely good. This is my preferred place to go when I'm in the mood for Italian food.

very i-tai ! That's a good thing. Didn't need precooked food in front......didn't have appeal. The worker-guy waiting for his ride home (coughing) needs to avoid the kitchen. Stromboli was made to order (more cheese), side broccoli was Legit. Good sizes, fair price. Great flair.
