La Escuelita Dual Language Preschool is a one-of-a-kind educational institution located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It is the first Spanish dual language preschool in the area, and one of the first in New York City. The school has been providing quality education to children from birth to 3rd grade for over a decade.
At La Escuelita, we believe that bilingualism is an essential skill that can benefit children throughout their lives. Our mission is to support bilingualism by providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn Spanish and English simultaneously.
Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of both native Spanish speakers and English speakers who are learning Spanish as a second language. We use a dual language immersion approach, which means that our students spend half of their day learning in English and half of their day learning in Spanish.
Our teachers are highly qualified professionals who are passionate about teaching young children. They have extensive experience working with bilingual students and understand how to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
We offer a wide range of programs to meet the needs of families with different schedules and preferences. Our full-day program runs from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, while our half-day program runs from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm or from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. We also offer after-school programs for older students who want to continue developing their language skills.
In addition, we provide enrichment activities such as music classes, art classes, yoga classes, cooking classes, science experiments, field trips, and more! These activities help our students develop social skills while having fun at the same time.
