I WISH I COULD PUT A -5!! THE CASE WORKERS DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH YOU AT ALL! AND THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM. THEY SAY TO EMAIL THEM, BUT YOU NEVER GET A RESPONSE. MY CASE WORKER MAILED ME TO TELL ME SHE NEEDED 1 ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT. I DIDN'T GET IT 2DAYS BEFORE THE DEADLINE. Now SHE WROTE IN THE COMPUTER THAT SHE NEEDS SOMETHING ELSE 1 DAY BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I DONE MY APP WAY IN AUGUST AND ITS NOVEMBER, WELL PAST 30-days.I HATE THEIR NEW SYSTEM!

I have applied 4 different times since October of 2016, because of the lack of communication. It is impossible to actually speak with anyone. Emails, fax, phone calls, NOTHING! It is quite ridiculous!

I did an application for CCAP in August and I have been trying to get in contact with them to see if my daughter was eligible for the program and no calls or emails! Its aggravating!

Is there a negative star option to rate this agency? The only reason I chose one star is because this review would not post with zero stars. The phone number should be removed from this listing as no one answers and then the line goes dead after numerous rings.

This Dept is worst than revenue. Denied my granddaughter 2 or 3 times because she not in school 30 hours a week. Duh her schedule that was submitted shows 38 hours internship not including the time it takes to bring her child and pick her up. Filing an appeal, copying the Governors Office and the head of DOE. Shouting down the worthless call center is one way to save the state some money.

Everyone gets paid and nothing gets accomplished. They don't care about teachers or kids - meaningless rhetoric to make them look good.

Louisiana is going to always be last in education. ...can't never get through on the phones and the people in charge are pointless. ..settle this thing in court.

I give it 5 stars down this is the most dumbest move they could've made the call center does not answer the phone my workers have yet to contact me I've called and emailed "these people" for 2 months now... I'm aggravated and frustrated DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION you must do better.

Why did they allow this place to take over childcare?! The workers are rude! Never call even after you have called them a thousand times! They cut me off for no damn reason and I even appealed to speak with a supervisor ..do you actually think a supervisor has called HAHA yea right and this was a month ago! I don't know if I'll even be able to back to college next semester due to not having a sitter! The worst place of business I have seen!!!

The La dept of education needs to learn how to properly educate the children of Louisiana. Everything is made poorly but they expect the children to do everything right. The grammar on some of the practice material is horrible so I can only imagine how it is on the standardized tests they have to take at the end of the year. I am really fed up in the way the students have to deal with this. They should get people who actually want to do their job instead of hiring some bums.

Ridiculous... I've been calling for two months.. When someone actually picks up, which is every tenth call, no one can answer your questions, so they tell you someone will call you back (which they dont). No one even answers emails.. Are they all over there sleeping?

I did my application way in October of last year, it's now March. Can't get in touch with anyone, they never answer the phone or the emails you send. When you call the 1-800 number it tells you due to high call volume your call cannot be answered and to call back later and hangs up. You can NEVER GET THRU. The only time I have been contacted is when they ask me for something I've already sent them and days before it's due tonthwm so by the time they get it it'll be late. I have spent money faxing my information just so they can get it in time and still no response. I've just about given up but my child really needs child care assistance. Thus is beyond ridiculous and they need to get it together or move it back with food stamp off. My child would have beeennn in daycare

The phones just ring and ring you can;t get in touch with anyone for anything. This is crazy. There needs to be a better system in place.

Left message on the phone per instructions. I was told DOE would respond in 48 hours. It's now going on 4 days. Useless!

The public parking for this office is about 500 yards to the West of the building. The covered parking beside the facility is for staff only.
You do not need an appointment to come here, you can just attend on the day and wait in line.

Education is hard. Managing complicated education systems that serve a wide diversity of people with a wide diversity of values is even harder. Those working at the DoE are doing the best they can to make the system work as well as possible for as many as possible. Commendable.

Worst govtplace ever they take longer than30 days to process your chilcare and the supervisors dont even call u back

Louisiana is really failing its students!!!! No wonder we are nearly placed last in everything. Including education. These teachers are disrespectful. But want the children to be respectful...A good principal can't do ANY wrong.... And if you dont like it.... Go to jail because its mandatory to deal with this bull. I swear I've had enough.

Morehouse Parish Schools need your help before everything and every kids fail. These teachers are not certified and all the board does is waste tax payers money by acting like immature kids. Nobody is here cares about the best interest of our kids...HELP

If I performed my job like the La. Dept. of Ed. does I would have been fired a long time ago. There whole system is a joke. I cant believe that we pay these people to be responsible for our children's education. My son just left the 4th grade and can't count single digit numbers. I am now home schooling him and it took and entire year to get him enrolled in the leap test. It is hours away from the deadline to testing and am not sure he is enrolled or what he needs to bring. The school won't call me back; the La. Education Dept. phone just rings and rings. The last I heard was they were trying to get the test together; one day before the test. They had all year long to do this. I can go on and on about the incompetence I see from the schools to the state dept. I am sure there are hundreds of people working for the state board of education but have only talked to one person. I wonder what all the other dead heads are doing.! The only person that had something good to say is Tony Roberson....guess where he works....what has diversity and values got to do with doing your jobs.....

THIS IS HORRIBLE!!! You cant get in touch with anyone!!! I've been trying to reach my case worker all MONTH OF OCTOBER...NO CALL BACK!!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! How you spend 8 HRS A DAY TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE TO TALK TO AND YOUR TOLD THEY WILL SEND A EMAIL TO YOUR CASEWORKER WHO DOESN'T CALL YOU AT ALL!!!! This system needs to be corrected NOW!!!

I wish I could give a NO STAR rating!! One star is pushing it! The worst thing that could have possibly happened to CCAP is having it taken over by the DOE! It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with your case worker...when you put in a request to have a case worker call you back they never do...I've put in four request...and its after the 30 day timeframe they give to respond to your case...and you have to call and request that the research department call you back to verify that the documents they have requested for you to send have actually been received and put in the system...trust me if you don't you run the risk of not having your documents put in the system. I understand that the DOE handles cases for all of Louisiana not just the parish I live in but there has to be a better method of handling cases in a timely manner...if DCFS can do it DOE should be able too as well. HORRIBLE!!! if you are fortunate enough to never need CCAP thank God because waiting on DOE makes you feel helpless.

They are rude, disorganized and display poor employee training....at least they could be on the same page about how this child care program works. i am seriously considering not being a ccap provider due to the foolery in dept.
