Michelin star restaurant with fine dining to a tee. Expensive but so worth it for a treat or special occasion. Staff can't do enough for you....

Great food on the upside, high prices on the downside.

Oh yes this was an epic meal and an amazing experience! the food and staff are fabulous and the setting is just gorgeous. We had the bigger set menu, and everything was superb.

Amazing taster menu last Saturday. Hard to choose a fave course - all excellent. Fine wine selection was stunning - a big thank you to the sommelier.

Such a great meal; good service, delicious food and excellent sommelier all contributed to make it a perfect 5 star tasting menu for lunch!

Beautiful venue and great food . This is one of the best Michelin star restaurants I have ever visited. The menu is perfect from beginning till the end, and the atmosphere is great. The wines our outstanding as well. Words cannot describe the excellency of the food, the wine and the combination of food and wine. The staff is friendly, charming, polite and in for a joke. I do not want to spoil your experience by disclosing the dishes, but trust me: this is one of the best dining experiences we ever had

I had the pleasure of dining here and spending a day in the kitchen where all the magic is done. Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the world, very worthy of their Michelin Star, the young but extremely talented team create fine art with some of the finest ingredients in the world and serve them in a classic setting paired with the befitting wines and spirits.

Excellent picturesque location. The food in incredible, the staff were amazing and were more than happy to alter the set menu for my pregnant wife. For a Micheline starred restaurant the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Generally a really nice relaxed restaurant, evening dinner tasting menu is great. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Slightly spoilt for me again so not a 5 star from me as this is the second time I ve had small children sat close by making too much noise, playing with toys, crawling around my feet picking up thrown toys. I think I ll move out further afield

The setting, a country house on the outskirts of Reading, is beautiful with plenty of parking on site. We went in August, with extra restrictions in place due to Covid. Therefore we were unable to have an aperitif outside, which was a pity. We received a warm welcome and the staff provided a good service. The food was excellent and the menu offered plenty of enticing options. We had the seven course menu which was well put together and very satisfying. The sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable and offered some excellent accompanying wines. The ambiance and theatre that one expects of fine dining were both clearly impacted by Covid (distancing/limited tables/ staff wearing masks etc) but what they provided was a safe environment to enjoy some excellent food. I think ambiance could be improved nonetheless. I would go back again for all the positives; it was a very pleasant experience overall, despite the restrictions they are facing.

Great Staff, good service, not cheap and don't go if your hungry. Good if a bit over priced wine list.

A lovely pleasant evening spent in what felt like someone's house, odd surroundings with some quite surprising dishes

I went once lockdown was lifted, so perhaps my experience was not as good due to this. We really wanted the tasting menu but when we got there, it was unavailable. My husband did email and leave a voicemail days in advance asking this, but we didn't receive a reply. The food was nice but looks nothing like the pictures I've seen on here, I expected more flavour and/or appearance. The prices was fair and service was pleasant, although I believe the waiters should know what the dishes are - I had to ask and he needed to check them with the chef.
