Great bar/cinema/theater/concert hall. Staff is great. Open even after midnight. You can also eat here. Prices are alright and it's also a great place to meet new people. Lots of students.

A great location to enjoy an evening of comedy or theatre

Built in 1913, now a proud monument, De Vooruit is a great place to visit plays, rock concerts, debates and what-have-yous. The restaurant is beautiful mixture of art deco and art nouveau and modern styling. Food is simple, nice, authentically Belgian and far from expensive.
And when the sun is out, make sure to ascent to the terrace.

Go and watch Zoe Bizoe in the ballroom. Small cozy room. One downside .... it was sizzling hot in the room, a bit of fresh air would have been welcome.

The forward has a new coat and a new atmosphere. A lot of experimental and new electronics attract an audience that I see again and again.
Only their agenda is very unattainable and unclear.

A Gent classic. The cafe is a great back up plan when all else is full. If you ever have the chance for a tour of the building again then it s very interesting.

Great venue, and in particular the "theatre room/theaterzaal" is a great place (super acoustics, good below from any seat) to watch performance, theatre play. And of course have a drink afterwards at the famous cafe (with lots of history and famous people who often came here)

Nice place for an "intellectual drink". The venue derives from the foyer of a theater, and on Sunday it's not uncommon to find people dancing in the middle of the tables. Very characteristic

The first impression - it looks like a large dining room. But he later noticed the cozy places on the stairs with colored design on the terraces. Food is everyday. Alongside the university - it is possible to target students.

Mooie en interessante plek, a must in Ghent. Try the artissanale beer and the soup with bread!

We had reserved on Friday evening at 8.30 pm, apparently there was a misunderstanding and was at their 7.30 pm, since we had only arrived at 8.30 pm, they had already given us a place, because according to their paper we were 1 hour late. So they had no place for 9 people anymore, the boy who spoke to us did everything to help us. They opened the cafe especially for us. All night he made sure we were never thirsty. Big thanks to the boy! Very cozy there!
