The bar at the back (with separate entrance) is very nice and cozy and has a cocktail bar upstairs.

Very cozy cafe with tasty meals, but I think the drink is on the expensive side.

Studenty hang out, not really a place for good food or coffee (they use a fully automatic maker) There's free wifi though.

Cozy large room with history. Concerts, exhibitions, crazy dance nights with good DJs. Nice fresh food with bio-stamp. Great choice beers. Fair price. Friendly staff. Orders are made at the counter. Short waiting times. Beautiful south oriented terrace in the summer. Almost always place.

Place to be for artists, intellectuals and academics in Ghent

Amazing, wholesome food and overall nice atmosphere. Great piece of architecture.

All kind of events, parties, culture, ... A nightlife gem.

All organic food, many vegetarian options, relaxed atmosphere, fun 80s music and older. Nice old tiles on the floor. For the Dutch: somewhat similar to Dudok in Rotterdam in terms of atmosphere and audience.

Nice coffee and friendly staff. Not so cozy inside and poor acoustics. There is a beautiful terrace outside. Certainly also a concert here!

I love the aesthetic of this building, and its history is very rich. I'm glad the people fought to keep this often endangered building from demolition, and nowadays it's a protected monument. With good reason!

I just love the vooruit, it's the perfect place for me: you can just go there to read a book and have a drink, you can go there to eat some good soup, you can go there to chat with friends, to meet new people....

The stile is really cozy and artistic: big spaces, hight ceiling, confortable sofa's!

The downstairs venue is perfect for parties for a select size, almost never left before 5 am. The sorta content does change, just google the vooruit Ghent and u'll find whats going on

Music was too loud and the door to the ice-cold street full of smokers was open, yuck.

Beautiful building and large cultural complex. Interesting activities almost daily and, if not, just enjoy your bar with free access. Large living room and huge terrace where you can have a drink, or just read, write, be with friends and enjoy a cool, casual and very cool atmosphere. Excellent option

Very obnoxious and rude headwaiter, the place looks really nice, but the music is too loud and doesn't fit with the ambiance.

Cozy, relaxed atmosphere, possibly for eating a snack. You can chat at your leisure, work on your laptop or read a book in peace. All kinds of regular activities that take place there, child-friendly and excellent service.

Only been here for a party, but it was amazing, lockers are available and the venue itself was nicely decorated.

Nice location for youth parties. Balcony upstairs I think a little too low, does not give a comfortable feeling, maybe a bit dangerous for people in the wind.

A large open cafe formerly part of a theatre.Good range of drinks both alchoholic and non-alchoholic. Reasonably priced food but choice is somewhat limited. In the University district, popular with students, but caters for a diverse clientele.

We had cocktails on a terrace there. Quite urbanistic, not very cosy place. Near the university of Ghent, so must be popylar around young people. Chairs and benches are not comfortable.

We were in the Vooruit cafe. Beautiful building, nice atmosphere, self-service, limited choice. But I'll be back.
