We enjoyed our trip with Kompas. The checkin process went smooth and staff were friendly. Departures and arrivals were punctual.

Though we weren t able to print out the boarding pass, the pdf version that I showed them on my phone was equally accepted. Do not forget to bring your passport or else police border control will not let you through.

Onboard prices for drinks were fair - the same you would pay in a restaurant.

Though the offered tours sounded plausible given the limited amount of time in Venice, we did not choose to do any of the tours offered by Kompas. If you are on a budget you can take a bus -boat to the centre - which will take you 25min and cost 7,50 per person per trip (pay onboard); or even walk for around 30min (non-stop), which was enjoyable too. We decided to explore the city ourselves at our own pace and it was worth it for us. Lunch prices weren t that high either- you can get away with a total of 30 for two or even less (one can even manage a meal for two for 15 at Burgerking).

Unlike what the other reviews mentioned about the crew using pushy sales tactics to sell their tours whilst onboard, our experience during the trip wasn t quite like that. The presentations regarding the offered tours were actually quite useful and informative.

We came to them on the principle of "phone call from a friend". Office at the port itself, and when we showed a cheaper offer from booking (discouraged us by the lack of company name and details) the price became acceptable - 2 adults and 2 children (10-11 years) expenditure of 1,100 kuna.
Start and finish in Porec.
Catamaran "Prince of Venice" clean, air-conditioned, professional and nice service. Well organized, helpful and visible. Polish guide. They have several proposals to organize time in Venice-IMHO the most profitable is to use the transport with a guide to St. Martin Square and a later trip return climatic taxi to the Grand Canal (paid separately). In the price of the ticket, they invite you for a brief tour of the glass factory.

Used Atlas Kompas to get a return from Rovinj to Venice. Way there was fine. Way back it was stormy so we took a bus, they said it would take the same amount of time, it took 1.5 hours longer. We stopped for a break an hour in for no reason. No apologies were given.

Once we arrived in Venice we quickly realised that our time in Venice would be shorter than advertised as we had to wait nearly 1 hour to get through passport control. Then on our return we diverted to another part of Croatia to drop extra passengers off. This delayed us by one hour , no explanation no communication at all very disappointing. Would not recommend as they don t tell you the truth..

I would urge anyone from the UK not to book any accommodation in Croatia through Kompas. This company is without doubt one of the rudest and misleading companies that I have ever dealt with. To date I've never given a bad review for any travel firm, but Kompas deserves a very special health warning. Best to avoid!

Our day trip (on our own) to Venice (from Pore ) was very successful. 7:30 clock was departure. We were already at 6:30 clock on site and parked in one of the large public parking lots (10 minutes walk to the drop off port). Arrived on the catamaran, there was first a check-in with passport control (for EU citizens also enough identity card). That went pretty fast. The catamaran has 2 decks, one of which was open. Most places are in the interior. Outside seats are only about 50. During the trip there are information events on the lower deck over Venice. We did not use this event, as I have read about previous reviews, that there are guided tours, restaurant coupons etc. offered and sold. You should rather explore Venice yourself. Just before the entrance to the port of Venice, the top deck was opened. There you already have a tomb view of St. Mark's Square. Arrived there was then the entry control. This has about 15 minutes. lasted. In summary: Relaxed ride, very punctual and a fantastic day trip! We recommend.

Tour from Porec to Venice booked. Booked a boat tour and lunch at Cantina Canaletto S.R.L. The meal cost 55 for 3 people, which is not much in certain areas of Venice. However, the quality of the food was extremely poor and reminded me very much of microwave food. It was also very little. We also sat at the table with another strange family (which wasn't bad) and had to share a tiny salad plate with them. Without dressing, without vinegar and oil ....
The atmosphere in the fast food store run by Asians was totally bad.
None of this would be particularly bad if the tour guides (commission hunters) had not promised us an unforgettable culinary experience. It was a disappointment and rip off.

The booked super boat tour was also bad. 17 per person for 20 min. Bad prospects, poor tour guidance.
More was also promised.

Maybe I was too naive when I was in a good mood and full of anticipation for Venice and booked the 2 things with a compass.
But the promises of the tour guides were so good that I wanted to do something good for myself and my family and booked it. Many other people fell for it, too, and were reported to be deeply disappointed.

Kompas Travel, you messed up my Venice trip. In the city you can eat very well and neither your announcements very well and cheaply.
Never again Kompas Travel ...... ROCK
