Koki's Teppanyaki Grille Review

Waiter sat us and another couple down, then sat one more couple to our table, took that last couple's drink orders and walked away without getting anybody else's order.... awkward...

Food just average. Service / Attentiveness could be improved. The chef antics were amusing.

Great food!! just wish they would clean the table counters and backs of chairs better always very sticky and my shirt kept getting stick to the greasy chair

The Place is Fantastic... Best Shrimp & Scallops Ever

It was our first time here. We came on a Saturday night around 8:20pm. They gave an estimated wait time for 25 mins. We got seated in 30 mins. Chef Mario was ok. Kinda funny but was a little clumsy. We got a piece of an eggshell in our food. He used quite a bit of butter and garlic in our food. Now about the service. The waiter was nice. I did not get his name.. he was very attentive and was fast now to the food quality. It was great! Everything from the fresh Seafood, Fresh Meats. Fresh Chicken. And the fried rice was great. The soda was a little watered down. I had to ask the waiter to give me less ice. Given the date and time arrived everything managed to be great. Overall we really enjoyed the place. We would come again. Price was decent too. A little less cheap then going to Benihanas.

Cozy, home feeling when coming here. Food is fantastic and service is good. I go here at least 3 different occasions and maybe more.

Grate place and food. The only small complaine is the amount of salt in the food which was little bit more than expected.

Do even bother making reservations. We made reservations for 7:30 party of 8 and were not seated untill 8:30

They are not always perfect but the food is.
High quality meats and seafood, esp when compared to their competitors.

Best teppan around here. Look for the 2 for 1 coupon they mail out sometimes. Definitively worth full price though!

This place is amazing. Way better than the competition. Hands down better taste than other places I ve been to. The chefs and staff are always on point with service. 5 stars is not enough.

As much as I enjoy Koki's, the experience is very YMMV. I've been here three times and the first time was excellent. The chef was excitable and he cooked all the food perfectly well. Everything was delicious. The next two times I've been here (I've had separate/different chefs for every occasion), were more lackluster. The food really depends on how well the chef can cook - some are better than others. And some chefs don't even have a personality. They look so tired and burnt out that they barely want to put on a show. It's also a tad pricey as they upcharge lots of things ($2.50 charge for fried rice). Overall, it's a good family restaurant but it's very YMMV.

Very unclassified. Loud and too small of a location. We had reservations at 7:45 and was seated at 8:00.

Great food and great service. Fun to celebrate birthdays here and get your picture on the wall. Would recommend making reservations ahead of time because they get really busy for dinner. Fun for the entire family.

Had a great time with my family! Drove up from Mission Viejo and it did not disappoint. Great food, friendly service and reasonable prices. I totally recommend this place.

Always a good show, food is excellent, well priced for the atmosphere. They have a birthday special where they'll take your picture and add it to their wall. Great for special occassions. One of their sauces is not my cup of tea though (wasabi based).

Great teppan (cooked at your table). Entertaining chefs. Customized with friendly attitude. Moderate pricing (typical for teppan, $18-27). Crowded but short wait, considering.

Hibachi is one of those things that is hard to pull off, but you get the same experience everywhere. Kokis does this perfectly. The food is as great as the atmosphere. My go-to hibachi place in Irvine.
