I love this place. I ve been here pre pandemic times and a had a few takeaways during covid1-9. Just as tasty as a home delivery as it was in the store.
Struggled to find sushi as nice as this for the value elsewhere.
Recently ordered for a birthday and they went above and beyond to make sure it was special which they didn t need to do, but was much appreciated.
This restaurant is surely one of the coolest restaurants in the area. Anytime I come there I am profoundly glad. They keep their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You can never go wrong with this place. Very recommended.
Such an underrated place in so many angles. I m usually sceptical of non city establishments claiming to do Japanese/sushi, on top of that, I avoid places that do Other cuisines sandwiched in between.
However, I ve tried both their sushi and Chinese (on separate occasions) and I can tell you the following.
Sushi - absolutely brilliant. Impressed by the quality and it has stopped me going into city for some sushi.
Chinese - surprised by the quality. This is an important point - I come from a Chinese takeaway & restaurant owning family and can say these guys are on point. I don t actually feel rough or horrible after eating it which is a rarity for takeaways these days. Tbh - I did feel a bit sick, but that was from over eating. I didn t realise how much I went through!
Slight critism, but not sure it s because I had it in a platter. But the salt and pepper chicken wings could be more seasoned all over - the chicken was very good though. It may have been muddled with either starters and lost its flavour. Maybe I would have to redo this one.
Great intimate little sushi place. Been here twice and I'm planning to go again!
Prices pretty reasonable too.
Contacless payment available making for quick and easy payment.
Yesterday (18/07/2020) I ordered a takeaway from Koi Sushi and oriental, delivery was fast, the plastic packaging in which the food was located was damaged ( broken plastic on bento box and soup lid ) all the food was out of the plastic packaging, and there were small pieces of plastic in the food. Unfortunately some of this order was thrown in the trash. I tried many times to call the restaurant but the number was busy all the time. I use this restaurant many times in the past and it has never happened to me before. I m very disappointed at this time.
Quality sushi with interesting flavour combinations. One of the simplest 'standard' dishes, tuna rolls, was absolutely delicious! Look forward to eating in when regulations allow.
If you want your food delivering for a certain time make sure your order WELL in advance. Delivery time is always excessively long.
Don't bother putting order/delivery instructions on either. Twice they've been ignored, please be mindful of this if you have serious allergies.
Food has always been good although the salt & pepper chips were soggy on the latest order.
We waited nearly 2hrs for delivery from these guys.
When it eventually arrived after speaking with the restaurant 3 times the Ramen was 99% extremely spicy chili broth that could not be eaten and 3 strips of chicken. The prawn nigiri was absolutely smothered in honey so was far too sweet to eat. The spring rolls were cold. The chicken in the Singapore vermicelli was also cold.
No apology from the delivery driver either.
Amazing place. Order from here all the time now. Bento boxes are lovely and the sushi is out of this world!! Thank you
