Nice burger and good fries. You could really smell the smoke from the oven outside though, which was less pleasant. Service was good.

Nice decoration (horns and cow leather everywhere) and cozy atmosphere. We started being served by one lady which seemed a bit confused but then it changed to another one who was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the meat of the day - flank steak. The dish looked tasty but the steak tasted like burned (even though it was medium rare inside). Dessert was also disappointing, again a very pretty plate (chocolate delight) but the taste was not matching the looks. Good wine. Maybe a good place just to hang out for drinks and snacks.

While the food was excellent I would like to share my experience I had when visiting Koetjes en Kalfjes. The place is very nice and I would say according to Zuidas standard. The price for dine and wine are good compared of the well presented but also delicious food you get.
I was there with girlfriends of mine. When we asked about the recommendation of the wine and about how the quality of Their housewine is the reply of the waiter was it s a cheap wine ( considering 24 eur is not cheap For everyone ) anyway, serving us the first bottle there was no shame to open the cork with the mouth . When I asked if he really just opened the bottle in front of us with his mouth he said yeah so what, I m not sick . We rejected the first bottle and decided for another one which he don t open with his mouth but spilled half of it over our table. After we paid ( left 10 % tip).there was no thank you, please visit us again, have a good evening or whatsoever ... sad story, but a story I ll be more than happy to share with everyone to safe you any surprises if you should meet the same waiter.

Great restaurant located near the station in the main business district of Amsterdam. Visited during lunchtime and even though restaurant was relatively busy, it did not feel overwhelming and could have a conversation with people at the table without having to shout. Lots of food to choose from all of which is very reasonably priced and made with fresh ingredients. For lunch I had the sandwich/kebab and thoroughly enjoyed it and felt full after eating. Staff is very friendly and efficient and gave very good recommendations. Had a good and enjoyable visit and will return if in the area. Would recommend if visiting the area.
