Just visited the facility for the first time so my little son could try out for the baseball program. The coaches are great. They are highly knowledgeable and very motivated. I am a big Time Sports guy and I know quality coaches when I see it right off. The facilities are world-class. I hope to participate in more activities through my children at this facility.

We recently moved from South Florida to the Maryland area and KOA was the only team that responded to the emails I had sent before moving. My sons tried out, and joined the KOA travel baseball team. My son was very Happy with his teammates and coaches. He improved his game and was motivated to attend practices and games. The KOA coaches are very experienced and dedicated to the kids, which is one of the things that we are playing with KOA again this season. Great coaches, parents and kids!

KOA has been a blessing to Montgomery County and the region. As my family has grown so have they. My kids have played in all of their sports programs, from hoops to baseball to flag football to field hockey. Just been so nice to have such a competent, consistent, and trustworthy organization behind all of my kids youth sports initiatives.

My experience with KOA Sports was tremendous, the staff was very informative on when and where games were held even if there was a slight change in the schedule they were on top of it. My coaching experience was the best, networking with the players and their parents and building a strong relationship with both has been a great opportunity for me. I will surely miss those players, I had a great time with them and I wish them nothing but the best. Remember guys HARD WORK and DEDICATION, you guys can do anything. peace.

One of the counselors made my child and his camp mates run laps in 90+ degree heat, because they were not enthusiastic about an activity. Multiple kids suffered dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Another counselor almost hit a camper for complaining about another activity. He would ve hit the camper had not another counselor stepped between them.

They advertised this session as fully outdoors and then changed midweek to eating lunch in a recreation facility that also had a gym with adults working out

The director terminated my child as a camper because we had the audacity to complain about these 3 incidents.

When I complained to Montogomery County, I was told they were not licensed for this summer s operations

If you love your children, please send them to another camp.

I registered my son for CITs tennis camp for session one and two in this place. They suppose to give him SSL hours confirmation sheet to confirm for his hours working there. They didn't give him his paper and after many times calling and emailing ( almost two weeks) I didn't single call or answer to my question. My son talked with his coach about the paper and his coach told to my son that nobody told him anything about the confirmation paper but he could help him. The funny part was that they didn't have a paper to print the form to sign it! Anyway, my wife print 4 copies and took to coach to sign for my son and his friends. Very cheap place and they just take care of your money and nothing else.

I've worked next to and with Koa for the last 3 years. They are the best in the business in the DMV area. All of their staff and coaches push a positive, encouraging culture on the kids they work with and their facility is top notch with consistent upgrades. All Koa athletes we have worked with have had positive experiences and continue to come back to Koa for years to come.

When you join KOA, you're joining a family. The coaches have been so supportive, kind, and knowledgeable and have made a difference in my son's life. The full time staff are dedicated, helpful, and very professional. I'm so glad to have found KOA. They offer a range sports and do so much for the community. If you're looking for a place to improve your child's skills, check them out for sure. We've been with them for 3 years.

Update March 2020: Playoffs

Today we were eliminated from the playoffs after advancing from the first round. What makes this basketball organization so special is that my son received an evaluation filled with lots of helpful information and encouragement.

This is a very professional and family friendly sports training organization. Huge respect and appreciation for coach Anthony Ndiangui!!

Your child will definitely improve and learn valuable sportsmanship and life skills. We re grateful.

My son has played Travel Baseball for Koa now for four plus seasons. The coaches are great! The skill development and consistent repetition have really helped my son become a much better player and my wife and I have been able to sit back and enjoy watching him grow and excel. Koa is the "A" game for youth sports in our area. You won't be disappointed.

My daughter has been involved with KOA Field Hockey for 4 years. It has been a wonderful experience for her. She has learned so much from all of her coaches -- from beginning skills in elementary school to improving skills with her league in middle school her coaches have been invaluable. Her coaches are dynamic, caring and fun! They have not only taught my daughter to become a better player but have instilled in her and her teammates the importance of teamwork and the love of the game. KOA is extremely well-run and organized program -- their communication with players and parents is excellent! We look forward to many more years with KOA!

I would not recommend Koa to anyone. There are much better teachers and instructors at other locations that will not charge you an arm and a leg to have your child taught the sport by young college kids who barely make any money. There is a huge turnover rate and you see different people all the time and many good people have left the organization because it does not treat its employees well, especially the tennis program. Now, there aren't many quality coaches left to give good instructions. Their service is average at best, and they overcharge like crazy for the service they provide. I was not happy with my experience at Koa. I recommend you look elsewhere that actually values its customers and employees and isn't just out to take your money.

Both my daughters have been participating in the KOA Field Hockey programs for the last few years, and we have been really happy with the variety of program offerings, the attention and instruction the program leadership and coaches provide the kids, and how KOA listens and responds to survey feedback. There are many Field Hockey programs out there now, but my kids are loyal to KOA. KOA instructors and programs introduced them to Field Hockey, and has continued to challenge and encourage them to keep developing and growing their skills!

Both of my children adore KOA Camp. It is remarkably well run and the counselors are very enthusiastic and nurturing. KOA also does a great job building sportsmanship. The children spent most of the day outside playing a wide range of sports. The camp is competitively priced -- and by far the best value for money in the area.

We have been a Koa family for the past six years. We met Tony Korson, founder, when we first moved to Maryland. My boys have participated in every sport and have always had a great experience. We love the caring, smart and fun coaches. They offer great advice and serve as terrific role models. We have played flag football, travel baseball, basketball and summer sports camp. This year we are excited for my middler schooler to be a CIT at the All Sports Camp. Both my boys love it when the Koa coaches and staff come out to their high school games. It shows such dedication and true interest in the kids even years after they have been on a Koa team. We highly recommend Koa Sports!!

Not impressed at all! My son played his first season of flag football. Practices were simply 20-30 minutes before the games and coaches changed during the season. Very poor communication from KOA as well.

I am a member of Koa Sports' board and my 7-year-old son plays in a baseball league. My 9-year-old son has played in a Koa flag football league.

Koa delivers everything you can want as a parent: quality coaching, structured environment, a focus on fair play and safety, and good competition.

Plus, the organization makes it an ongoing priority to organize and fund league play for both boys and girls. It's one of the things that makes Koa unique.

Very well-run program with enthusiastic, capable staff. My son demands Koa's multi-sport summer camp and my daughter has learned such fantastic team spirit, camaraderie and skills through Koa's field hockey program. The whole organization hits exactly the right tone and balance of playing hard and having fun.

As a parent of KOA athletes, I have been very happy with how this organization works. Their staff are motivators and very knowledgeable about the sports they are coaching. Also, as a very busy parent, I love the way they communicate with parents and keep us in the loop at all times. I would recommend KOA Sports to any parent that has an allstar player or someone that just enjoys playing sports. They have it all.

Hands down the BEST program in the DC Metro Area f...

Hands down the BEST program in the DC Metro Area for Flag Football (Nick Tolisano #1 Football Coach)! My son has thrived at KOA over the past 4 years, and has made life long friends in the process. Ultimately, what makes KOA so special is the individual attention they receive from their coaches. They only hire athletes (many former Pro athletes) to coach and or referee at KOA, and therefore they are not just babysitters, (like many other programs out there), but instead athletic leaders that are passionate about their sports, and about taking your child to the next level! The KOA coaches go out of their way to instill good sportsmanship, integrity, and an overall positive attitude in their athletes. They accomplish this through leading by good example, and teaching their athletes to always maintain dignity and achieve moral excellence in all situations. If Football is not your thing no worries, they also have many other athletic programs (Baseball, Basketball, etc.), and in addition many really fun camps that run throughout the year. If you haven't looked into KOA you really should! I have tried many other programs and not one has come close to the all around experience we have had with KOA. They will not only build confidence in your child, but they will drive home core values that will last them a lifetime!

At Koa Sports we believe that participation in youth athletics helps build character traits like teamwork, leadership qualities & discipline which will serve them well throughout life regardless if they continue playing organized sports into adulthood or not!
