Very frustrated with Klinic, where public health isn't public. My boyfriend is a patient there and I wanted to start seeing the same doctor as him. We asked if I could be added as a patient and they told us that I had to call the doctor referral program and be referred. When I did that, they denied me because my boyfriend and I don't live together, and I do not live within the catchment area so I can't self-refer. My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years and think it would be helpful to see the same Dr.
Today I came in with him for an appointment. My own doctor sent me for bloodwork so I thought I could do it at Klinic while I was there. Apparently not. They sent me across the street to another medical clinic, one that recently got rid of its lab. Klinic's lab is for Klinic patients only, and they refused to take me as a patient previously. This seems detrimental to their mission statement of being a community, public health facility. The nurse my boyfriend saw spoke of how they want their patients to be with them for life. But what about the patients they don't want, that they have turned away?

I love this clinic. Dr. Jenny Grisman is so attentive to my needs every time I visit. She really cares about her patients. Every single medical staff member (nurses, RN s and doctors) I ve encountered at the clinic cares about the patients. It s a really wonderful place.

I have been going to Klinic for about six months and have had a very positive experience. I attended there Evovle program as well as one on one counseling. And I get nothing but compassion, understanding and do not feel judged. They offer many great services, but I must admit that the reception staff is not good, and dont seem to know much. I believe this is because they are volunteers and not paid. This is the only reason I can come up with for there lack of knowledge...

Great service, especially for a public health clinic. Prompt reception and polite receptionists who are happy to answer questions you have.

Offers trans health services, very informative program with thorough briefing. They make the process of transitioning virtually painless in terms of the effort you need to exert- you don't have to reach out to any other providers or professionals or seek referrals and you don't get run in circles or questioned. Very valuable as a trans autistic person. I feel very welcome and I love Dr Rhea to bits- would definitely recommend seeing her! Very friendly.

Klinic community health provides wonderful service...

Klinic community health provides wonderful service with very reasonable wait times, a variety of programs and walk-in options, as well as appointments. They cater to everyone, are a multicultural business, and do NOT discriminate based on your race, size, age, weight, or gender.

Their specialists and providers are very professional and helpful, and do not offer anything they aren't capable of providing. They are very accommodating and have an extremely high volume of patients each day. The staff are very easy to communicate with and are polite and informative.

This is a great Place, I can not tell you how much they have helped me. I saw a lot of councilors in other areas of the city, and when I went to KLINIC , i found a councilor that actually "got me". They truly care, They can deal with depression, anxiety, PTSD, abuse etc.. Very thankful for this place. The Crisis Lines are there to help. Sometimes you just need someone to talk too. I can't thank this place enough

Amazing, helpful and compassionate woman. The counsellors are angels who care about your well-being and will help you through it without judgement. There is one on one counselling and group counselling. The world needs more places like the Klinic

Called to ask two very simple questions, can I make an appointment to become a patient there. The receptionist was incredibly rude and short with me, and instead of saying no sorry and explaining it to me, stated: "yeah it doesn't work that way".

I went to the University of Winnipeg location and it was absolutely awful. I would never recommend Klinic to anyone - ever.

The experience I went through while dealing with a company which is supposed to help people, which it did not help me one bit until I put my foot down and demanded to see a doctor.

When someone finally pulls it together and decides they want help, do not tell them they are "ok" and that they are going through a phase. That was not the case with me and I am extremely disappointed with the service I received by Klinic.

The lady's I delt with ONLY judged me on my looks and NOT what I was telling them. I am a bit bigger, I was showered, I was smiling, and I was making eye contact. Apparently doing all that means you don't need help. Just because someone is larger in size, does NOT mean they don't need help. Just because someone is showered and smiling, does NOT mean someone is totally fine. And just because someone is making eye contact and not avoiding the other persons eyes, does NOT mean they don't need help. It means they are paying extremely close attention to you and they want you to understand, that you are there for the right reason - you want help.

I'm sure many student from the University of Winnipeg have gone to the on-site location and I'm sure many of them have been turned down which has caused the students to suffer more. The students should not be suffering due to the improperly and poor trained staff. I'm so disappointed. Had I have not put my foot down, I would have been even more lost then before.

I was able to meet the doctor after the long process and he helped me - properly. Doctors know so much more then the staff at Klinic and the doctors should be seeing people, not the Klinic staff.

Horrible experience, I went in there merely to get a list of therapists. When I asked the councilor what was the difference between a phychologist and therapist she had no idea, I knew the answer but sometimes I act like I dont to get a better understanding. She came back with a list and as the door is open and im on my way out she asks infront of everybody waiting if I was having suicidal thoughts or depression. It is much better to pay money for a councilor becuase you get what you pay for. I will not be returning to this place.

Staff, counsellors and nurses are all thorough and extremely helpful. Nothing but good things to say about the Klinic, as it is a wonderful resource and I have always had a pleasant experience when going there.

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I will not be returning to use these services.
I was spoken to very rudely by a receptionist, who could not and would not answer my questions. When I finally got to speak to someone else (after 3 days of trying to talk to someone knowledgeable), I was told that the receptionist claimed I was threatening her, yelling at her and swearing at her over the phone. Which was VERY incorrect. In fact, SHE was being extremely rude to me.

Their staff does not seem very knowledgeable about their services, as I was misinformed multiple times.

If you have used their Teen Clinic service, or any other service, you CAN NOT return and use another service, you can ONLY use the one. If this is a doctors office, that should NOT be the way it is run.

I will NOT be returning to this clinic.

I highly recommend using a different service.

Absolutely awful service. I had to wait 4 months for an important medical document, while they claimed they had mailed it multiple times.

In addition, a receptionist booked me for a day they weren't even open, and I was informed months later, resulting in my appointment being pushed back very far.
