The Lobby Room at Kits Community Centre was a perfect venue for our event. Staff were very friendly and helpful and assisted with set up and take down of tables and chairs. The room was easily accessible for everyone and parking was close by and FREE:) Our celebration was a huge success, thanks to a great venue and fantastic staff.

Staff are more interested in what's on their phones and computer screens than in helping patrons. Been a regular here for years. The level of service has declined dramatically as the rudeness & laziness of the staff has increased. Example; I inquired (at the front desk) as to when the whirlpool may be up and running again. The woman at the front desk looked up from her phone with raised eyebrows and stated, "It's not our job to solve your first world problems." This is what happens when you employ people from the generation who got ribbons for participating and who still live at home after the age of 30.

I've trained at Kits Community Centre since 2005. Though certainly a decent gym in terms of equipment with a reasonable number of sociable patrons and staff (which is also always important), several years ago, facility managers, without consulting any of the patrons, decided to remove a number of pieces of equipment (such as the hamstring curl machine), and change the floor plan, making it less spacious. The numbers of users also significantly increased making it less enjoyable to train. As such, I left and have gone to another community facility.

I'm editing my original review but the 1 star rating still remains. I paid for 10 visits to the fitness centre and ended up getting the flexi pass instead of the 1 month pass.
I had mistakenly thought I had been charged for a replacement card but I wasn't. The staff on duty didn't bother explaining the difference between the flexi pass and monthly pass and the slight price difference. I assumed it was $50 for the flexi pass but it's not.

When I called the centre this am to ask about getting a refund for my replacement card (as I had found my original card and assumed I was charged for the replacement), I spoke to the same staff person who handled my transaction. She told me that they don't issue refunds for replacement cards (adding that she remembered me) and didn't bother looking up my account for the particulars.

I hung up and called the Creekside Community Centre who were more flexible and told me I could come to the centre in person. The staff there took the time to look at my transaction and then explained I had been charged for the flexi pass but not the replacement card.
They took the time to explain the difference between the passes and how to maximize the usage for the best value. Yes, it's a sales pitch and at least they took the time to talk to me as a valued client, unlike the Kits Community Centre.

I do not recommend this centre because the staff don't seem too bothered in explaining the particulars and seem more interested in getting the money.
The Creekside facility is newer and nicer and the staff are friendlier.
I'll be going to that centre and avoiding this one.

I booked a time for the gym 2 days in advance. First time going, I show up 10 minutes in advance. I see people lined up, join in behind them. Start letting people in and when I get to the front it is now full and no more space. I make sure to say I registered online and staff says I need to show up on time. I was there early and there was no visible signs as to what line up is for registered participants and what is for drop ins.

Extremely disappointed and find it insulting that they wouldn t even give me a refund after I had to watch staff let in people that weren t even registered for the time before me.
