Shocking company as I use to work there, do not buy from this company as half the time they send all of they're products out with scratches on the units they all look dreadful, it's all cheap nothing is made properly everything will be out of place when bought..

The rudest customer service, delivered my bedroom furniture a week late after they messed up the delivery and then it was all damaged. 3 weeks down the line they ve finally got a date for them to come and exchange it unfortunately I m due to be at work and then they tell me it ll be another 3 weeks! Absolute joke!
Shockingly bad had furniture delivered by some lone wolf cowboy which consisted of nest of of tables and large table ready assembled, due to this this I had to pay premium delivery charges for a 2 man delivery, items delivered by one man and had been damaged, contacted the company who told me someone will get back to me, 5 days later I received a phone call to tell me that they couldn t collect until 2 weeks time, this is a company based in hull whilst I m in york it s not the other end of the country, I said I wasn t happy with this as it s far too long for big bulky boxes to sit in my living room, tough!!! Was the reply, so i stated that I would leave the items outside for them to collect was them told of I did that then I would be charged for the damage to the items, totally avoid this company nice fancy website etc but the the backbone is riddled with disease avoid avoid avoid
Purchased from Very, delivery times were a joke. Sideboard was delivered and he top drawer was wonky, complained and in all fairness was sent another, this top drawer is wonky and a lovely chip out of the corner absolutely shocking! I am now waiting for a manager to call me back, they asked if I want a replacement again, I ve taken time off work a number of time due to the delivery dates changing. It was supposed to arrive today 19/02/2018 got a phone call last night to say it was on its way, had to rush out of work! Totally not acceptable, is there a furniture ombudsman I can complain to?
Had some problems with the initial delivery mix-ups and damaged furniture. I spoke to Sandra in Customer Services who arrange new furniture and another delivery spot very efficiency. Her communication was great on the matter.
I have no problem if companies make a mistake, admit they were in the wrong and then rectify it. These guys have done just that so I am impressed by their willingness to sort the issue.
Furniture was delivered fine in the end and it seems very good quality. Looks great in my room so I'm very happy.
I discovered Kingstown Furniture online through Furniture Village after deciding I needed to upgrade my wardrobe to a bigger one. I needed something that would be able to fit comfortably in my bedroom whilst being wide enough to spacious everything I currently own and more.
My bedroom is quite light in appearance so the grey colour tone variants were perfect - if anything I was probably stuck between choosing colours! I decided on the Eaton 4 door wardrobe in a light grey colour and it looks brilliant and holds everything I own with plenty of space left.
It's got storage drawers underneath that are perfect for holding sheets for the bed quilts and pillows too.
The furniture arrived ready assembled, which is something I was worried about given it might get knocked around, but it had been packaged very securely and the guys who delivered it were great getting it up the stairs.
Was initially sceptical because of the low reviews I'd seen online (I googled around to compare prices) but I couldn't be happier with the purchase! Will definitely be choosing Kingstown when it comes to upgrading other pieces of furniture in the house.
I have had 4 bedroom sets from Kingstown and the service depends on who is delivering. If Kingstown delivers then it's all ok. But if another source delivers it (in my case was the retailer) the service is pants.
The bedroom sets are used in my home a Holiday home and don't get a lot of hammer. I like them very much and add style and a bit of difference to each room. I am just about to buy another set.
I am quoted 4 - 6 weeks and it does tend to be the 6th week before they call me for delivery and usually 2 weeks after the call the furniture is delivered because I'm not available on the day they are in my area.
Accept a long delivery and stop complaining when it is the max.
I have by mistake and a big mistake may I add bought from this company through bensons for beds . I first started the transaction in Febuary of this year I did state at time of purchase that I was moving into a new house was the end of April I gave the actual date 29/4 . When I did move in I contacted consort and had the misfortune to speak to a horrible lady called Tracy when I explained to her that I had ordered and paid for furniture and was hoping for a delivery she advised me that the chaps had tried to deliver on the week before I had moved in so after I explained to her that I hasent moved in at that time she told me that wasent her problem . However 6 weeks later I got part of the delivery and had to get another walldrobes from them , so I'm July I was to get the other walldrobe. Only to discover that they sent the wrong height easy mistake to make , I re booked a delivery date and about 4-6 weeks later on a sat morn at 7 am I saw the truck pull up across from my house the chaps waited about 10 mins before driving away no one came to the house not a phone call nothing . So hear I am still waiting for a walldrobe I did call them today and again had to speak to Tracy Please please do not buy from this company There customer service is shocking there are better company's out there some people that will appreciate the custom .
Shocking customer service I would love to give this company a 0 star they let me down twice and they even lied on one occasion saying I was not in. I'm so disappointed it's been 10 weeks for delivery
We recently moved home and decided to redecorate, so needed some new furniture to match the new colour tones in the house (lots of greys and whites!)
I heard about Kingstown Furniture from a friend and after also hearing they were a local business, decided to check them out. We thought the cosmos collection looked really nice and settled on a 4-drawer chest and also the 6-door mirror wardrobe (big enough for all our clothes!).
Items were delivered to our front door by Kingstown after five weeks which gave us enough time to finish the decorating and make sure we were in.
Delivery men were great and we couldn t be happier with the service received throughout! Will definitely be choosing more Kingstown furniture when we decide to make a start on the front room.
First time I ordered coffee table was damaged I had already waited several weeks for delivery. Had to wait a further two weeks for the next one to be delivered. Ordered a display unit from my catalogue and the same company were to deliver today, had a phone call this morning unit is broken, my husband had taken a day off work to receive this furniture. Got rid of my old furniture so now I have items all over the floor in my front room, very poor service.
Utter rubbish! Had furniture delivered 4 months ago and arranged a Saturday delivery with the company directly. 3 items were damaged and I am still waiting for them. The team that assembled the furniture left with doors on wardrobes miss aligned and draws with random gaps inbetween. Company now says that I cant have weekend delivery and have to just go with when they are in my area, useful when people have full time jobs where you cant just take time off. Emails ignored, passed from pillar to post on phone, when you do get through no one can tell you anything useful or sort anything out. Will never use again.
Just received my new Kingstown Cosmos wardrobes and chests, delighted with the service from start to finish, the wardrobes wouldn t fit so the drivers dis-assembled them and took them upstairs before reassembly. Fitted the shelves although this is not part of the service, all I need to do was fill the wardrobe with clothes! If shopping tomorrow, Amazing what a cuppa tea and slice of cake does for delivery drivers! Would recommend these robes to anybody looking for a stylish modern product!!
Twice i have been let down for a furniture delivery!!! They were very unhelpful, You would think when it's their fault they would be willing to work around you! I had to take 3 days of work and yet they still would not deliver when necessary for me!
Thought alot before writing this worked here for 9 months and I couldn't wait to leave there are more team leaders then you what to do with working hours are ok but you have no annual leave for yourself they plan there holidays on factory shut down so if anytime you want a week off of your own and its not in factory shut down then tuff your not getting it I was working on the end of the line for nine month promised me they would move you around never really happened I only changed at the end because a guy left so for nine months I was taking very heavy furiture off the line with no help there is no health and safty in this place and if you say anything your told you know where the door is or they sack you if your late or have to much time off your sacked and the carpark was full of screws and when I got more then three punches in my car that I had to pay for and they just told me you dont have to park in the carpark we dont have to give somewhere to park your car but you park on leads rd either its very busy and you cause a block so either way its tuff your break in a.morning is paid but you cannot go out for a cig because its paid and if you get court smoking outside your sacked we asked to have a unpaid break to allow us to smoke and we was told no the owner doesnt have a clue whats going off because you cant get near him because managers just rap themselves around him so you cant even get close to him.and if you do and management finds out your sacked and yes the furiture goes out destroyed or marked as standard if you want the best go elsewhere I would not pay the amount of money for damaged items if you need work go else where like I did you'll regect working here half the staff sit in the toilets so they dont have to work just mean when you really need to go you cant all the guys here though that I met are nice lads but they hate the factory but when you have kids and have to put food on the table you have to do what you have to do they say so hope you enjoy this read and a jail has less cctv in this I believe is to watch the workers although I cant prove this if the heating it broken its tuff your going cold with no other option to heat the factory and not allowed to get ya coat and the roof is leaking like I dont know what near high voltage machines but this doesnt worry them if someone could get killed machines always go down and break so nothing gets done and the best one I heard was if you have time to lean you have time to clean yet you cannot clean the carpark full of screws and bin bags full of rubbish you are not allowed a.mobile phone on the floor if you have an emergency at home then you have to call to the company to get to your husband or partner and the management will decide if its important to tell and if it they think it can wait then they will not tell you until you find out and they just say we didnt know no message came from the office so yeah bad place to work for and damaged goods
Absolutely disgusting company ... Costumer services are the worst ever . Never been lied too in my life as much as this company have lied ... And still no furniture .... APPALLING SERVICE ... Can t say about furniture has yet to receive
An appalling company was told delivery on 22/2/19 still waiting on 16/3/19 with no feedback awful customer service only gave them 1 star because i couldn't give them 0!!!
Having read some of the previous reviews I was weary of placing an order, however all fears were unfounded as the product arrived on time with numerous communications from the company advising delivery date and time, with options to suit myself. The furniture arrived in great condition and was delivered and installed in my bedroom by two of the nicest men. I purchased this product based on the quality and style of this furniture, it was not the cheapest but definitely worth every penny built to last and I would consider buying more furniture from Kingstown. Not sure why some people have rated their experiences so poorly, it is easy to be critical but credit where credit due. PS a British made product gets my vote every time.
Shocking service, took nearly 2 months to arrive and when it did was defective. After no phone call to apologise and tell me when it will be sorted I had to phone them. We have to wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement wardrobe door. Person on end of phone just gave excuse of not having enough staff, pitiful customer service
I ordered a chest of drawers from Very in November 2018, and delivery was arranged for early December. The pre-assembled drawers were damaged by tweddle dee and tweedle dumb upon delivery, before even unloading the drawers off of the van. Since then, I have had occasional text messages to arrange delivery, whereby I have been given only one date and time option of during the week when I'm at work. I've telephoned 'customer' services, and have been told they only deliver to one postal area in the U.K. every 3 weeks, and do not know when my area will next be delivered too! After numerous phone calls to Very to complain, I've finally received a delivery date on a Saturday at the end of March - 4 months after my initial order. I have only persevered as the drawers match two wardrobes I have already brought, otherwise would have cancelled this long ago and saved myself the hassle. Awful service, and shockingly bad customer services. Let's wait and see how the delivery goes in March........
Waited two months for one item got given a delivery date on a Sunday as the were shutting down for two weeks.
Received the reminder email the night before saying please make sure we are in to accept delivery. Waited in from 7am to 7pm and surprise surprise no delivery absolute shambles do not give these people your money
one of the worst and rudest companies ive ever had to deal with, 3 times they say they can only came in the morning at 7:30am with no lea way on timing, when it arrived it was damaged 3 times in a row, have wasted so much time with these cowboys I end up thinking im dealing with dell boy and rodney, still waiting to get this sorted.... please don't deal with this company, they have rude staff and like to bring broken goods to your house then turn around and say "oh we need to order another one".... clowns the lot of them
