There hours suck gives no chance to make payments people get off at 5 from work and when there off its already closed and Friday should be the day with more hours since people get paid and wanna make the payments and later they send you a letter saying why haven't you paid !! . I hope they really see this review and do something about it
Young lady at window number five is very polite, helpful and professional. The building is state of the art, five stars.
The waiting time is SO pathetic. And just to make a payment. And most of these women are just at the window staring out.
Very unprofessional they hang up on you when trying to pay a fine or yell at you idk which 1 is worse some1 named Melissa needs a new job! She must be miserable & unhappy it shows.. God help her!
Speeding and other traffic violations is one of the main revenue streams for this count and this court is not only corrupt, attempting to makes it as difficult as possible to work with them, but they are simply incompetent and commit rampant errors on a consistent basis.
Overall positive experience. Only gripe was that my ticket even after 89 days was not entered into their system. The clerk had to create my ticket in the system to process it.
If i could give 0 reviews i would. I've called to get through the traffic division 10 times all 10 times i have gotten hung up on. How is this possible? How is a 9-5 hard working american supposed to get information on their traffic ticket if they keep getting hung on?? Are we just supposed to just pay it online and get the points on our record to pay higher insurance rates? No thank you, i'm trying to complete traffic school so that i don't get the points on my record but how can i notify them if they do not answer the phones?? I am disgusted.

The word circus only begins to describe what I witnessed. I have been certified as an expert witness and have testified in court in several other counties within California. While understand that on the day I attended, there was a commissioner as the judge was out ill. However, there was absolutely no control over the court room and I have heard this from other individuals- Even when the actual court judge is in attendance, attorneys are allowed to argue and name call etc. Without any consequences (contempt charges come to mind).
In addition in most counties, Family Court is confidential. In this instance, everybody was allowed to remain in the courtroom while the business of minor children was discussed for all to hear. I completely agree that the department of justice should investigate this county court.
Don't bother calling, just go there in person to fix whatever that needs to be fixed to make life a lot easier.

How ridiculous that they won't let you set a court date over the phone... they will do anything to make it inconvenient for someone just so they pay the fine.... Even though I live hours away, I'd rather pay for my gas then pay the fines.. contest every ticket!!! Yes you can win!!

Their website is not working properly. You are forced to try to phone in. After a series of prompts, ( I've called at least 6 times so far) not even a voice mail for the traffic division, it rings and rings and then just hangs up. We should demand more from our public servants. I wonder if this falls under the right to a fair and speedy trial clause? I was just going to pay the fine and move on but now I think I want my day in court.
It really is the worst. I got a speeding ticket through a bizarre series of circumstances. The officer handling this gave me misinformation. If I hadn't been more diligent in searching for proper answers to my inquiries, I would have been up a creek without a paddle.
Very Rude staff especially their Rent a Cops that have to search your belongings and treat people very poorly. Worst Court staff in the county.

All that money spent on a new facility and only one traffic judge who will see you by appointment only?!? Please, see how the Fresno traffic court judge does it and model after him.
Don't bother calling the traffic division. They don't even bother answering the phone any more. I've called four times and no one answers. Does anybody actually do any work there? I mean, i know asking someone to actually do work at a government job is doing a lot, but not answering the phone? That's a new level of laziness.
Good luck sitting on the phone for 45 min. Well funded enough to give me a ticket, charge me on their time whatever they please, and have me walk in on their time, but when I call on my LUNCH break.... no answer for 45 min. Then the computer's down.

The Sheriff Dept. here are really good. From my first visit, the staff and officers were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I came to their Dept. to get some paperwork served, they served the paperwork to the other party within 2-3 days!!! I am so pleased with the staff every time I call. They have done a great good overall. I recommend anyone needing court paperwork to be served in Kings County to come to this Sheriff Dept, they will take care of you! Thank you Hanford Sheriff Department!

I had my speeding ticket but she said its not on the system and she needs to call somebody to be put on the system.. its not my fault the PO didnt do his job to put it in the system.. and i had to wait 45 mins just to get it done smfh..
If I could give a zero start rating I would. The phone system sucks! Trying to get ANYONE to answer the phone is practically impossible and they close at 4 which means I would have to leave work early to get to the superior court before they close and all I want to do is ask a simple question.
I called on Monday and was surprised to actually get a human being on the other end, she informed me though that the person I need to talk to wasn't there and that he would be in the next day and would call me back (Tuesday) I never received a phone call. I have been calling today on all three extensions and have yet to get anyone to actually answer any of them. Kings County Superior Court why does your phone system suck so bad? New fancy building and you can't seem to do a simple thing such as answer a phone. Fix it!

Avenal Police and Sheriff's falsify reports, racially profile and permit excessive force. Very corrupted operation that sends their tickets to this courthouse. DOJ needs to investigate them.
