About Kindering
Kindering is a non-profit organization that has been providing developmental evaluations, early support services, early learning, and more to infants and children with special needs for over 50 years. The organization was founded in 1962 by a group of parents who were seeking help for their children with disabilities. Since then, Kindering has grown into one of the most respected organizations in the field of early childhood intervention.
At Kindering, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. We offer a wide range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family we serve. Our team includes highly trained professionals such as speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, and educators who work together to provide comprehensive care.
One of our core services is developmental evaluations. We use standardized assessments to identify any delays or disabilities that may be present in a child's development. This allows us to create an individualized plan for intervention that addresses specific areas of need.
Early support services are another important aspect of our work at Kindering. We provide therapy sessions both in-person and through telehealth platforms like Zoom or Skype so families can access our services from anywhere they are located without having to travel long distances or take time off work/school schedules.
Our early learning programs are designed specifically for young children with special needs who may require additional support as they begin their educational journey. Our experienced teachers use evidence-based practices such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy techniques which have been proven effective in helping children learn new skills quickly while also building confidence and self-esteem.
In addition to these core services mentioned above we also offer parent education classes where parents can learn about topics such as behavior management strategies or how best communicate with their child's healthcare providers; respite care which provides temporary relief from caregiving responsibilities; family counseling sessions where families can discuss concerns related not only about their child but also other issues affecting them; community outreach programs aimed at raising awareness about disability rights issues among others.
At Kindering we understand how challenging it can be for families when they have a child with special needs but rest assured you're not alone! Our team is here ready willing able help you navigate this journey every step along way!
