We were always very happy with this KDV. We have been lucky enough to meet great leaders, and the 'core' line-up has been surprisingly consistent. Very sweet, very involved and supportive to all of us, even when one of our daughters went through a tough period. Our children have been happy here! Ernestine Numan and Nanne Praamstra

The milk factory is an ok daycare center, but not as good as it once was. In the past 1-2 years, the focus has mainly been on growing the company, unfortunately at the expense of quality. On the positive side: - children receive warm (organic) food - diapers are organic / sustainable - daycare is very clean & tidy - yoga & music lessons On the lesser side: - very little customer focus - many changes in staff - limited attention to individual situation specific children - limited follow-up with parents about child development (used to be very regular) Given the "premium" price of the daycare, it is advisable to weigh the pros and cons very well.
kdv with very well thought-out pedagogical vision, with permanent, committed leaders, and activities that fit with age. Also sufficient challenge and peers for the three-year-olds.
Our daughter was just two when we came to live in Utrecht from England and she went to the Melkfabriek on Biltstraat two days a week. We noticed that she could not ground and since she liked her old KDV very much, we did not understand why. We only brought her six hours because she came home half hysterical after longer days. In the end we decided to look for another solution (parent participation nursery De Villa) and she was doing great again. In itself, everyone at the Melkfabriek is very friendly and everything is neat and well arranged, but for children who are a bit more sensitive, it may not be the right place. There are always a lot of children crying in the building, playing in the schoolyard with different groups was clearly too overwhelming for some and it also felt very large.
Another child who was in the same group also left a month and a half later because it was not the right environment for her either.
