I will never forget this camp. At the ages of 14-17 I went to this camp KAA 3. I loved this place with everything in me. From the cheers, fellowship, encouragement, plays, entertainment, concerts, classes, kindness, genuineness, and transparency, it was perfect. The portrayals of Christ love was very moving and had me in tears. I don t cry like that so that s something. To this day I know every one of the cheers, sayings, and songs. I was very lucky to have come every year for the 4th of July week, being that my birthday is the 5th. I had a mini celebration of my own in my head because of the fireworks and celebration during Independence Day plus it was my birthday. I remember first learning who Lecrae, Tedashii, and Trip Lee were. They came to KAA and performed and did a concert for us kids/teens. I think the best thing I remember along with the camp, was the bus ride to KAA. My group was coming from Portsmouth, VA, Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church and we were in two buses. The trip was 2 days. It was so fun and crazy. Imagine, a bunch of teenagers/kids on two big buses, for thousands of miles away from parents. Anyway, if I could do it all over again, I totally would. If I had the opportunity to touch young folk s hearts in the way that I was touched, I really would. Anywhoo, I d totally recommend it and I m 29. So if you are trying to decide whether to send your kid, nephew/niece, god-son/god-daughter; then JUST DO IT! You won t be disappointed. They will have so many stories to tell you once they get back.
