Wonderful start to our Keys visit. Went with three friends and decided to pop in to get some info, came away with great maps and directions and the woman running the place was as friendly as can be. We came back a few days later when leaving just to say goodbye and buy more souvenirs- the only place selling replicas of the Christ of the Abyss I could find! Way better than just looking things up online.
Very well maintained. Clean restrooms. Helpful employees.
Small visitors center informational stop nice staff made some good recommendations about staying and dining in the area.
Miracle stop on the drive to Key West. The bathrooms are photo-worthy (even though I elected not to snap b-room photos)
Stop here! Tons of pamphlets and information, and the gentleman at the counter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful
Very pleasant ladies with lots of information on Key Largo and Fla. Keyes!! Lots of brochures and info very clean rest stop also!!
Just a nice place to stop and get information. We bought a beach cover-up and a blouse for my wife there. Clean restrooms, and very friendly staff.
After a week visit to your area I am sorry to say your business need to visit other resort areas. The manor they greet their out if town people is at best below average. My wife and myself personally had two really disrespectful incidents. We both loved to visit in the past but now dought if we will again. Even your gas stations acted like it was an invasion of their lifes to have a visitor. I do not enjoy writing this but I believe with the present vacation destination available your present actions will dom your future.
This is our first visit to the Florida Keys. Rather than flounder around not knowing what to do or see, we decided a visit to the Florida Keys Visitor Center in Key Largo. Are we glad we did! David Shine was absolutely amazing! He was so helpful, knowledgeable, personable and humorous all while helping us plan our week. He offered several options to assure we had an enjoyable Keys vacation by helping us select what to do, reserve tours and activities and offering his contact information in case we had questions. When traveling to the Keys, make the Florida Keys Visitor Center your first stop. Make sure you speak with David Shine.
Great place to start; wish we had noticed the bug balm sold there before we set off on our trip, it was very useful on the way back. We got some good use out of the information and coupons we got here. It's easy to miss, especially with the many tour agencies also saying "Visitor Center" on the road right before it, but it's worth going to.
The guy at the desk was great. Super friendly and informative. Restrooms were clean. Plenty of coupon books and such. Not so much in the way of merchandise though. Take a pic in front of or on the big Adirondack chair and you get a free gift (a "sanitized" ink pen) if you share it with the host inside.
