NO SECURITY CAMERAS IN PARKING LOT. Next to no help when someone broke the back window out of my wife's Jeep, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, and stole her purse. otherwise, the facility itself is very nice.

The staff is always friendly, supportive, informative and eager to serve you. The wide variety of services is great. All areas are well maintained and clean. If you are going to frequently use the facilities often, they have seasonal and all year round passes at a very affordable fee. The water park is one of the best in the area and great bang for the buck. For ice skating, pool, gym and sport facilities is a great attribute to Kettering and surrounding areas.

I would highly recommend being a member of this Recreational complex. The says every type of recreational item that people in the community can use as well as the senior center next door.

I did not like this at all. If you have little little kids it might be fun, but my tweenagers and I were bored out of our mind. There is no place outside to just swim. The only part deep enough to do so is in the whirlpool section which you're not allowed to do anything but go with the current. They have two huge slides which I wasn't interested in but my kids did it once and were over it. The other two smaller slides are okay. The water fall is an awesome shoulder massager, but hold your bathing suit top. The little kid section has a jungle gym type thing with a big bucket. Those are always fun.

Had a wonderful first experience at the Adventure Reef Water Park. There were appropriately placed guards, and plenty of places to sit, stand, splash, swim with our three boys.My husband and I even took a turn on the big slides. Will definitely be back!

I always loved this place as a kid, but coming back it's disappointing to see the beautiful wooded park I grew up playing in to be cut down to practically nothing. The Kettering Recreation Center is still a lovely place to visit and is an exceptional site.

The place itself isn't bad. The staff aren't bad. The biggest problem I have is the exorbant prices they have for everything. You'd think a rec center subsidized by kettering taxes would actually be affordable for residents, but most of the services offered are incredibly expensive, with very weird/limited hours to boot. Ice skating is almost double the weekday rate at Riverscape if you are not living in kettering (if you do live in kettering, you still have to pay $6.50, which isn't terrible but still worse than Riverscape, with very restrictive hours that are ALL over the place). Getting a pass for the gym excludes you from using the pool facilities or anything else, which makes no sense. This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't actually MORE expensive to get an annual gym pass at KRC than it would be to go to some of the local gym businesses. Gyms which, by the way, are open 24/7, and include more amenities than what the KRC gym pass offers. Don't think about bringing a friend who is out of town either, as they'll be paying an expensive cost for a day pass (that only applies to the gym).

The facilities aren't terrible, but the hours are all over the place and usually not working in my favor, and yet its more expensive to use everything here than anything in dayton metro parks, local businesses, cincinatti, etc, all of which have just as good (if not better) facilities, much better hours, and any kind of pass you get is either cheap or all-inclusive if it isn't cheap. KRC has none of that. And I'm a resident of kettering, paying the taxes to keep this place going, yet still having to pay more than for-profit businesses or places out-of-town!

The only stand out redeeming factor of KRC is the waterpark. But lets be honest here, the only ones benefitting from this are going to be the under 10 years of age demographic. And the waterpark isn't anything huge, but it's still nice to have considering its just a rec center. But I'd rather pay prices that are half as what they are for residents than have a small waterpark which can only be open for 1/3rd of the time in a year, and only be used by young children.

I love the Kettering Rec Center, been coming here since I was a kid. The indoor pool is great, especially the swimming lessons they offer for kids. Membership prices arent bad if you are a Kettering resident, and the facilities are always clean and kept up very well. My daughter loves the water park, which can get really crowded in the summer but if you go at the right time, its excellent.

This is a great place for family oriented activities. The weight room is a bit outdated but its okay because you don't pay a high price to get in. Lots of friendly people. The age of the people in the weight room varies accross all age groups. This place is riddled with school practices so check that before trying to get on the ice or the pool or basketball courts

If you're thinking about joining an intramural league here - don't do it.

They continually hire referees who are looking to fight with you every game.

One ref in particular yelled at me for saying, "I didn't touch him," then ignored the opposing player's confession that I didn't touch him, and continued to not call a foul for me for the rest of the season.

If you want to stay safe and have fun in an intramural league, go somewhere where they'll have friendly refs who aren't looking to start a fight every day.

It's okay. I am not overly impressed with the staff. Some are very pleasant, and others seem like they're too afraid to have a conversation with you, their interpersonal skills are low. The membership exceeds the available workout equipment - it's not uncommon to have to wait for equipment, mostly in the benching area. It is a well kept facility.

Great gym for singles and families! They have clean, updated equipment and a nicely maintained indoor track to run or walk on during inclement weather. It s in a nice area and you get a discount if you re a Kettering resident or if you work in Kettering!
