Walked in today and was pleasantly surprised. It s quiet, quaint and neatly organized . I ve been to other used book stores and they do not look like this.

Love this bookstore! Kestrel Books is a gem of a bookstore for all you bookworms wanting to find treasures you otherwise wouldn't get in any big box store. Nestled in the hub of West 4th, you can grab a coffee a block over, but stay for the fantastic selection of books. Books are organized, in good condition, with good value. And you'll feel great supporting small businesses!

My favorite hidden gem of a bookstore. The books here are thoughtfully selected and cover in depth the topics of spirituality, psychology and philosophy. The owner is very kind and has a clear genuine love for his store and his sweet cat Ruby, who also has a special spot here. I've found many treasured books here and hope to return to discover more.

Kestrel Books is a such a delight. I roamed the aisles for hours and got completely lost in all the lovey books. There s always an abundance of good books here and the pricing is always more than fair. I make a trip out to Kestrel a couple times a month for all my pleasure reads.

This book store continually provides books of a high quality and often times rare editions. More than once I have found complete sets of books in great condition for a very reasonable price. Just today I found Dante's Inferno Paradisio and Purgatorio in mint condition! This store is a rare gem and I'm grateful for it.

frequent customer here. The store carries great selections, especially in science, psychology, art, among other areas. Plus books are reasonably priced which should be appreciated. The owner Ron is a very knowledgeable and kind person. It's always a pleasure to have a conversation with him.
