My Husband and I have been customers of KHC for alittle over 2 years. When we bought our home we had PMI added and were told it could be re-evaluated around the 2 year mark. My husband began to reach out to the phone number provided on KHC website for the team that reviews PMI. Several of the employees there, Kristen & Michelle (to name a few), advised we could do a private appraisal and PMI would be removed based on the appraisal (current value). We paid over $1k to have appraisals to be completed. We then called in and spoke to Michelle who told us that we could send the appraisal over to her manager, Cheryl, to review. Cheryl then proceeded to call my husband (as I was sitting nearby to listen) to discuss the removal of PMI. she was rude from the beginning of the conversation and stated we were at 91% loan to value based on the purchase price. My husband calmly tried to explain the appraisal provided and that we should be close to 80% based on appraisal. She then stated they only use the Purchase price. Which caused my husband to become upset & irate as we have been informed differently. She ultimately hung up on us and then refused to answer the phone there after. We had to get our loan originator to reach out to KHC on our behalf today as no one would help us. Even after we emailed a screenshot of the policy from the website and email communication we had with KHC employees regarding this matter showing they advised us to proceed with getting a private appraisal for PMI removal. After he reached out, Cheryl proceeded to call back and flat out said she never said any of the things she did and once again proceeded to be unhelpful and stated that she would not provide the requirements and instead escalated us to a compliance officer. She then proceeded to hang up on my husband again. We have never missed a payment. Never made a late payment. DO NOT GET A LOAN THROUGH KHC. You can be a perfect customer and they will still not help you nor treat you in a respectful manner. They will lie straight to your face!! STAY AWAY!!!

Customer service seriously went downhill. I ve had my mortgage with them for 8 years and have always recommended them. They were polite and easy to work with. Recently I called to inquire about biweekly payments. I was told they don t do that and asked it my reoccurring draft could be stopped. I was told to send an email to Customerservice. I did. I received a phone call back from Erica and she asked me to call her back. I tried but the customer service woman who answered was trying to be helpful and look at the account and reading notes. I asked to be transferred to Erica and was met with hostility. When being transferred it was disconnected. I emailed Erica back and received a VERY rude response. I then asked for a supervisor name and number. It s been a week and I ve not been able to get through to anyone. I have been in customer service for 20 years and am appalled at their lack thereof. I ll be looking to refinance if they are going to treat their customers like this. I would not recommend them like I used to. They ve gone way downhill

Thank you to Derek for helping me throughout this process. It was a very quick response and handled the way it needed to be. Ky housing Corp helped me get my first home on my own and I'm appreciative for that. I would recommend to any Kentuckian.

The customer service from KY Housing has been amazing. They are responsive and courteous. It s not often you find a lender that treats you as a person and not just a dollar sign. My interaction with Derek Morris was especially refreshing. He not only responded to my issues quickly and professionally, he also took the time to follow up with me to ensure I was satisfied with the outcome and all my questions had been answered. This is a great company to do business with!

Whenever i click on a person to call, it gets sent straight to a voicemail. Why is it so hard to get someone on the phone? I literally depend on being able to talk to someone to be able to do my job. *editing this because they responded rather quickly after i sent my inquiry, thanks guys.*

I have been a homeowner for 15 years doing business with this company. They have been FANTASTIC to work with. We fell into some hard times and was looking at losing our home but with he help of Derek and Ashley we were able to pull through and come out on top!
