So much history in a fast, efficient, kid friendly museum. The exhibits were amazing! Great history of each triple crown winner in depth. Also went through the behind the scenes of the derby and those that make it great.

The tour was a little quick and not as in depth as I expected. I wanted to see more of Churchill Downs but apparently the museum and Churchill aren t owned by the same people so the tour has to be what it was. Not bad but not as in-depth as the museum.

Great, must see attraction while near Louisville

You feel like you are walking on sacred ground at this place. We took the walking tour, so glad we did. Museum was incredible. We only had an hour at the museum, you really could spend all day there.

Very nice museum. Loved that you could view the races from every year and the games like betting on the winner and riding the horses were so much fun. The video was cool and the tour was very informative. Very interesting facts. Very cool place to see and learn about

Nice tour through the paddock and onto the track. They are constantly improving and you could see the field and the grandstands were under construction. Nice museum as well and learned some crazy facts. Did you know a thoroughbred can go 0-40mph in 3 strides?

You can learn a lot about a wide variety of aspects of the Kentucky Derby including the pop culture, fashion, foods, horse nutrition, famous horses, jockeys (including Shoemaker), and owners, horseshoe hall of fame, etc. Lots of interactive exhibits. We especially liked the 360 degree movie, the horse betting simulation, and the tour.

I visited the museum as part of its annual Horses and Haunts Tour during October. Our guides Heather and Molly were excellent guides, providing a lot of history to this native and Derby attendee (for 45+ years)! It was super cool to see the track at night and hear these stories under the hallowed spires. Highly recommend visiting the museum and taking advantage of this tour every October!
