Our dog jumped our fence and someone caught her 3 blocks away. I contacted animal control and so did the people who found her. Nobody checked when we called to connect us. We found her from a flyer the people posted at a local gas station. These people are morons. When you go there to look at adoptions available they give you attitude like your disturbing them. The place used to be friendly, not anymore. The rules for adoption are absolutely ridiculous! We do rescue work so I look for older animals to adopt and we keep them or find a home for them so they're not stuck in a shelter. I used to easily adopt from here, not anymore. The only thing they're accomplishing is animals not finding loving homes. I won't go here anymore which isn't fair to the animals. This place needs a new leader who is invested in animals, not politics.

We had a great experience here! We went in to see a dog we were interested in adopting and all of the people there were so nice and helpful! We ended up taking the dog home that day and the whole process was very easy! Thanks Kendall County Animal Control! We love our new pup!

This animal control department files "CRIMINAL" charges a year after alleged accusations they make without any type of communication. What a joke. I am pissed at the type of person they have running this department. Laura Pawson has people charged criminally without ever having made any contact or having any documents served or a police report of any kind filed. This is an abuse of power. She has no proof of any notices EVER being received by me and refused to work with me when I tried to explain the situation and ask how it can be resolved. I was charged with something from a year ago and have proof that the dog I had just got had gotten its rabies shot. Furthermore the dog ended up having to be returned to her foster home due to allergy issues so I didn't and don't have that dog in my custody. She could care less. Now I have to pay an attorney to represent me in a bogus, harassing case because someone could not do their job and make a simple phone call or send a certified letter to make sure it was received. Don't rely on this department for anything. I've left messages in the past about actual CRIMES of dogs being left outside in extremely hot weather with no shade or water and no one bothered to follow up on that. Guess it makes more sense to push a pen and file charges against people without doing any type of follow-up then it does to actually be an advocate for animals being neglected.

My experience at Kendall County Animal Control was perfect. Extremely friendly, respectful, knowledgeable staff! We adopted our puppy from them, and it was an easy painless experience!

I thought about going through a private organization to obtain our new family member. Instead I'm very glad I decided other wise.

Tank (previously known as Xavier) is at my feet gnawing on his bone. I don't think either of us could be happier!

Visited here looking to complete my family. The staff is incredible. They are all very dedicated to the cause. Please stop here before you visit a breeder or a pet store.

I adopted charlie from there and my mom got it for me.

great place to work. My family also adopted our dog from here. Bubba was 8 when he was brought into KCAC, his owners gave him up. KCAC made the process of adoption easy, and gave us the tools and we needed to introduce Bubba into house. Thank you Kendall County Animal control.

Adopted a kitten Stevie about a month ago. She has been perfect for me and my other cat Shady. The adoption process went smooth and the people were very nice. Thank you very much to Kendall County Animal Control !!
