Excellent environment, staff, cleanliness and good value for money. Ideal for a relaxed atmosphere.

We went to Kempinski in December 2020 and the place was well equipped for Covid measures, that we felt safe in any part of the hotel. The rooms are large and the staff really friendly and accomodating. It was not our first time at the Kempinski and we will definitely return again.
The hotel and spa had very good covid procedures. Very clean and food was good. Spa very well equiped and therapist was 5 star.
+ very very large rooms
+ customer service, very attentive
+ hearty breakfast
+ public transport nearby (bus)
+ spa
+ childcare
+ giant rabbit in the lobby
The Kempinski is a great place to stay, even in Winter. While the rooms are a bit cold when you arrive, the A/C heating makes up for it quickly). The Restaurants and Bars are very good, especially the nice selection of good Gins and premium tonic waters are a gin lovers dream come true. Would definitely recommend.
If you expect a good service book another hotel.
1. Mojito at the pool bar costs 10.50 and tastes like water with lime.
2. Forget about vegan options for breakfast. Even for vegetarian you will find little options and we are talking about a 5* hotel here in 2019.
3. Dirty tea cups at the breakfast.
4. When looking for something to eat at the breakfast noticed a very old cheese, which was totally dry.
5. The weather forecast was saying that it's gonna rain a bit on Sunday. It was raining for 3 mins at 11am and dripping for 2 mins at 12.30pm. The management decided to close the pool bar and outdoor restaurant without informing the guests. To have a drink I had to go to the bar next on the reception desk level. Not even mentioning a paint of beer for 7e..!!
Overall it was my second time at this hotel. After the first one I said that I never come back again. Two years later I gave it a chance and this is the result. This time never NEVER again.
270e for a room and this is what you get.
Recently stayed at the Hotel Kempinski and overall found the service and amenities of the highest standard. Staff were engaging and eager to help, nice touches such as the birthday cake enhanced my impression that this was a first class hotel.
A great place to relax. The hotel itself is rather unspectacular. But everything is clean and tidy. Very nice staff, great treatments in the SPA. Especially the massage with Frank was great. Breakfast is top notch compared to many other hotels in Southern Europe.
No omlet in the morning, uncomfortable beds and expensive food at the casibo.
Been there for a day by the pool. Paid 30 per person and it was worth it. The cocktails were a bit expensive for 2 PinaColada we paid 18.
Not only that Kempinski is amazing, but there is one of the most beautiful energies of total naturalness. An awesome place to still the mind and enjoy stillness and silence.
Love having a coffee and food with great views and friendly staff
Lovely hotel. Beautiful spacious rooms and bathrooms. Adult pool area clean and spacious. Polite and helpful staff. Only criticism breakfast was a shambles. Had to wait for items to be replenished, especially fruit and hot food, tables not set with cutlery, napkins. They need someone there checking and and refilling all the time and more service staff around the tables. We did order off the a la carte menu and got them in a reasonable time. Wouldn't stop me returning.
We are enjoying every minute of our stay at the Kempinski. The view from our room is breath taking. We can take long walks in the surrounding countryside. The staff are so well trained and come across as truly caring. Breakfast is superior to most other hotels we've been to. The evening meal was excellent.
Impressive room service Let's take care of it twice a day. General cleanliness is very good. everything looks new and modern in room If summer wants to come back, we used the Hammam bath for three days and the spa service was great. 24-26/12/2020
The best hotel to stay in Gozo. However breakfast is terrible. They have very good restaurants though so don't really understand why breakfast sucks. Rooms are very comfortable. Overall nice stay but nothing to be hyped about.
It is usually a very nice stay but this time around it is very bad.
There is a lot of music coming from the fifth floor we called the reception and they did nothing.
Also the WiFi is pretty bad.
Slow service, no pool service for drink. Not same quality for Kempinski, young arrogont waitress. Not impreased!
Note before the booking that the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. It is far away from the sea, shops and restaurants.
Hotel is obviously old and requires a large renovation everywhere. People who used to stay in other Kempinski hotels would be shocked...
Rooms are old and looking poor.
Spa area is old as well and there is no sauna, just a hammam with 40C in it which doesn't operate properly.
Breakfast is quite poor and definitely not a 5* selection. Coffee made of tap water gets salty taste.
During our stay hotel was nearly empty, but we were placed in the room located in the last wing and staff immidiately tied to offer us an 600 upgrade... And they were really upset when we refused...
Sorry, but we were disappointed with this holidays. And would not recommend this hotel.
Limited choice of food and inexperienced staff, bedrooms good though!
Quite ok, but the wellness area is not at all: The sauna is a side room of the indoor pool, you sweat there without a towel in swimwear
My stay in Kempinski hotel was one beautiful tail. The staff was extremely hospitable, the room was very clean and comfortable and the quality of service excellent. It was one great journey thanks to Kempinski hotel!
From the outside you give nothing. When you enter, you are enchanted.
Very nice hotel not much around
But for the holidays and for the children the double swimming pool is gigantic
Wonderful break and truly relaxing - would have expected more variety at breakfast, however the overall experience was great and will definitely return
Clean, comfortable room. Beautiful and peaceful environment. Friendly staff. Great food, breakfast is a feast of tasty food. Pools large, clean, surrounded by gorgeous palms and other plants. 3 pools in all two for families with children and one just for adults who want a more quite time. Also indoor pool in the spa is nice. This hotel has character and class. I highly recommend staying at Kempinski. I am definitely looking forward to another holiday there.
Excellent Service!
Very quiet and very cosy rooms.
Staff outstading, helpful and room service very efficient.
Spa crew.. Thumbs up!
Rooms and all areas spotless clean.
Definately wont be the last time.
Keep it up !
Acquainted with this hotel. They showed everything very quickly, the hotel representative spoke very quietly and half of the information was not heard. I know that the hotel is good, but it was not presented very well.
Luxurious hotel, iconic in the area. Perfect to rest and disconnect.
Brilliant. Facilities are immaculately kept and food is great.
High standards and service! Would definitely visit again.
Exceptionally good hotel resort in quiet and rural area on Gozo. Friendly, caring personnel, great and clean rooms, delicious breakfast, optional dinner site with local delicacies. Additionally they offer 3 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, squash and tennis courts, a spa and ayurveda section and a gym. Located in close proximity to public transport and hop on hop off bus, directly at Gozitan crafts village. Rather expensive, but absolutely worth its money. Can recommend the hotel completely!
A beautiful hotel with very helpful and staff. Set in amazing landscape. If you want to use the SPA book before you go.
Had cocktails on the terrace. Best mojito and gin fizz. Met one of the chefs over from Germany called Nick who was really great fun. Need to water the plants on the tables they were looking very sad.
One of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in they have thought of everything to make your stay so comfortable and relaxing amazing can't wait to go back !!!!!!@
A beautiful welcoming hotel in the heart of wonderful Gozo. We recommend :-)
Nice, quiet, enjoyable, kids friendly hotel with excellent breakfast and pool staff
Perfect stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Brilliant breakfast selection and location @ the terrace to start your day. Late breakfast & checkout was very much appreciated. Quiet. Very clean and spacy room. Unfortunately not enough time to use amenities like the Spa. Would visit anytime again.
Absolutely Magical!....Just a 15 minutes by car away from the capital Victoria, and yet this location is :
An away from it all experience ...total relaxation...lush surroundings-ample foliage everywhere you look,pools...Exquisite layout both within hotel and landscaping...delicious food
....l can't wait to get back.
The hotel claims on its website that you feel like a VIP there ...
This has nothing to do with reality.
The whole atmosphere is not luxurious and is getting increasingly old.
Too many international employees (trainees) and only one third of Maltese.
At breakfast you get the table to give a bit of high quality although half of the tables were always empty. Always the same and tailored for the English guests.
You could eat dinner in two restaurants of your choice.
However, in both the food was rather too artificial and pseudo-luxury.
Only tasted good a few times. Although I had half board I was not allowed to get a second scoop of ice cream as a dessert.
You sometimes sit there for 2 hours until you get served the often puny meals.
The garden looks rather like weeds and smells unpleasant.
The SPA was very disappointing. The heated pool was only just lukewarm but not warm enough to relax. Only the steam room was good, the rest was all 3 star level.
On the website is also the non-smoking in the outdoor areas of the restaurants, but a guest asked for an ashtray and got him immediately and started smoking ...
Most of the guests could not behave and so fit well with the hotel.
The price-performance ratio is very bad.
After all, it is the most expensive hotel in Gozo. For the price you get too little.
The worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in.
Awesome if you need to relax, try there massages purely awesome
Lovely place and great peaceful terrace for a cup of tea. We didn't stay here... just stopped for a cuppa. The waitress warned us a cup.. or rather a little pot of tea would cost 9 euros. Good idea as it may seem excessive. We didn't mind as we had Olong tea which is expensive anyway. Next time we may stay overnight.
Great atmosphere and very quiet I will give it more than 5 star
Such professional and friendly staff. From Giovanna at the pool bar, to the breakfast restaurant waiters and chef, spa and maids, all so lovely and super efficient. Beautiful peaceful hotel with 3 clean pools to choose from.
It was a very nice stay. Friendly staff starting from.check in, helpful. Nice room, nice surprise for my birthday with a delicious cake. Fantastic spa, great therapists, both for my neck treatment and the one of the couple treatment. Unfortunately I do not remember the names. All very friendly. Also at the bar, helpful and everybody took care. Looking forward for the next stay.
Our stay was wonderful. All staff were so lovely and ready to help with anything we needed, especially the porter and a lovely receptionist by the name of Joanne who made our stay the best one yet! Thank you to you all and we shall definitely be back to this amazing hotel.
