Kelly's Seafood Restaurant Review

massively overcooked crabs were soft and rubbery shells I could bend in shapes. Meat inside was rubbery and flavorless from overcooking. Filet mignon was purple all the way through (not red) and was a morbid cut of meat. Mac and Cheese was noodles in a bowl with cheese sauce poured onto as a soup.

Wow. Blown away. Reviews dont give an honest view. Loud alcoholics fill the air with drunken banter that was the icing in the cake.

Server was nice, she did her best. Food quality is trash, feel bad for her.

One of the best sea food places I've ever eaten. Large platters, great service. Just a joyful atmosphere.

Food is very basic! BUT the snapper soup is awesome!!

We went there for my birthday.. the service and food were excellent.. we had seafood to streak.. it was a great evening. I will go back again..

Why are evening was not as we plan first stop was Gallows they were closed second stop was Jordan Jackson's it was really dark and we settled for Kelly's and it was subpar my girlfriend's meal was horrible mom was flat and the drinks were parochial

This is a nice old fashioned restaurant with good seafood and great and friendly staff. Great value. We drove over 3 hours to eat there. And we will return.

Really great restaurant, friendly staff, great food, and very reasonable prices. This our go to spot for crabs, and we always love having Tracey as our waitress, she is fantastic!

I gave it 4 stars mostly because the food is great& the atmosphere was great but the waitress sucked as she made me wait too long as she took the other tables order & the whole time I was there she waited on me last like I wasn't important like the other customers. She was taking her time on purpose with me.

Good spot for quality seafood. This location is absolutely outstanding. Prices are reasonable I would say.

Second time that I have eaten at Kelly's and again I was impressed by the food and service. Going out with a grandparent that is suffering from Dementia is not always a walk in the park. The staff was quite accommodating and patient with many messes. The soup I had was the shrmip bisque and was delicious. I also heard good reviews of the seafood chowder and snapper from other family at the table. I had the shrinp sampler, which had shrimp prepared 4 different ways (baked stuffed, scampi, fried, and cocktail). Nice large shrimp and the scampi was the best. 100% would go again.

I visited Kelly's for the first time Saturday night. What a disappointment.
First it took 5-10 minutes for the waitress to even come over to us to get our drink order and there was only about 4 tables occupied (and other waitresses were there as well!). It was late for a Saturday night, probably @9pm
She brought rolls that were cold. Did not bring any plates to eat the rolls from.
Brought our drinks out, I ordered a margarita. I have been drinking these for years and what a disappointment this was.
We finally placed our order and I ordered sirloin steak well done.
When it came out, it was already charcoaled on the outside, but medium rare on the inside. I sent it back. It came back out still too red for me and was VERY VERY crisp on the outside and they had put some kind of "liquid" on the top, which I can only assume was to cover up the crispiness....I sent it back and told them I did not want it anymore. You can only guess what it would look like and taste like after another cooking!

My boyfriend ordered a seafood combo that had crab legs. He was dripping in butter and the waitress did not even supply extra napkins. She got lost and we actually had to ask another waitress to get us some.

On top of everything here, where we sat had a "porthole" window next to the bartender who was telling her story to someone and she was louder than my boyfriend's and my conversation.

Overall, it was not somewhere I will go again.

A local seafood icon, the food is good. We grabbed some take out and it seems the bartender was overwhelmed without any help so it took a while to even place our order, she was very apologetic for the delay though. The bartender double checked our order for accuracy and we got everything we needed.
The restaurant has been renovated since I last visited, many years ago, and it looks nice. The bar has a decent beer and wine selection.
The menu has a good variety for a seafood joint and I really enjoyed the calamari and broiled seafood platter.
I definitely recommend Kelly's for a local Philly style seafood experience.

Please don't eat here, ever. I order some kind of cream pasta with seafood. The sauce was gray and the seafood was clearly not fresh. It was so bland and just not good at all.

The food was good as always. But it had been raining out and my shoes kept sticking oh the floor.

Really Good food! The first time we went it was awesome, but this time there was a problem. We went on Tuesday because the Mrs. Is rather fond of the crab legs. Tuesday night is AYCE crab legs. In the First round, the waitress brings out these decrepit looking legs. They tried the old "that's how they all are" bit, but I wasn't having it. So, after a bit of fussing, we sent them back! Finally they came out with some nice looking legs and said they opened a new bag. So why not do that in the first place, And serve some attractive food. They get one more visit from us. If not up to par, we won't go back. The waitress and the cook staff should have known better.

Never been disappointed,. Food and service are generally satisfactory.

First time here unhappy with the service for take out I hope the food is better then the attitude of the host and waitress

We went there tonight and everything was excellent. My wife had coconut shrimp and crab cake. My son had the penna pasta in a cajun sauce with shrimp onions and peppers.I had the penna pasta with mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, and a small lobster tail in garlic and olive oil. Everything was good!The server Megan was courteous and very pleasant. This is my go to seafood place.

Seafood, very tasty. Very savory. There was quick and friendly service. The prices are good for what you get.

We had a wonderful meal at Kelly's seafood. I was very surprised because we had a limited budget that evening, and I was able to get a dinner, without the usual appetizers etc. and the portions were enough to fill us, not to mention the food was very good. I will definitely go again, with a bigger budget so I can try all the things I didn't get to try!

Good spot for quality seafood. Came here on a Saturday. Really nothing but good experiences here. Prices are appropriate for the quality. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.

I decided to treat my boyfriend just before his birthday. It was the first time both of us had ever been there. Although some may think the atmosphere dated, I actually liked it and believed it gave the place more authenticity. Our waitress was very helpful and the portions were greater than expected. All of the food was yummy. It was definitely worth the ride and a place where I would go again.

The food was amazing, it was served hot and the service was fast. To make it better the price was reasonable.

Waitress very nice food was barely edible. Our salads came out brown with rotten pieces of lettuce in it. We pushed it to the side and didnt touch it. We were suspect from there on out. My sons pasta was covered in a rancid tomatoe sauce. Crabcakes were stuffing with a few specs of dried crab pieces in them and the smallest baked potatoes Ive seen. They should be ashamed of what they are putting out!

Always a great stop. It is a neighborhood staple and they always make you feel like one of the regulars. Very large menu, so if seafood is not your thing, there will be many great alternatives. The chicken parm is always a great fallback.
The staff is an amazing team of hard workers. Pricing is amazing fair and the portions will appeal the the hardest of appetites.

Food not that good n Easter Sunday. Soup was too salty to eat.. Fried Cocanut shrimp over fried. Corn was horrible.
In all fairness every time I had dinner there the food was excellent.
Maybe cook did not have help and was WORKING without staff..Easter Sunday was an exception to the rule..
But had to be mentioned.
Usually a 5 star but not that day.

I usually love Kelly's, the service is always great and it is very clean but tonight the clams casino and the Kelly's scallops were so salty I could not eat them, I will definitely be back, hope it was just a one time bad experience .

I was very skeptical to eating here. Since reservations were already made by another family member, I rolled the dice and took a chance to celebrate our mothers birthday here. I am happy to report that this restaurant passed with FLYING COLORS!!

The staff was very courteous, attentive, and professional. The food was delicious!! I would like to thank the staff for making our visit very rememberable. My mother absolutely loved everything. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!!

when I arrived at this restaurant it instantly smelled like mop water.. when me and my guest were seated there was an awkward mood . I ordered my food and yes it was hot but it wasn't good . Dry food no type of seasoning to top everything off my waitress had gotten me and my friend confused and double charged both of our cards and thought we wouldn't notice .. she claimed they rarely take cards but it shouldn't be hard to charge us for the right amount .. overall wasn't a good experience I wouldn't recommend nor go here again and if u do make sure u have cash .. horrible service was not a happy customer

Very cozy place. Great seafood and other items as well. Service is usually very good. Prices are reasonable. Would be good place for a date, if I ever went on one.
