Brent has performed my last two clients home inspections. He's thorough, yet timely. At the end he walked my clients through the home addressing things and answering all their questions. Friendly and professional!

The unprofessionalism that we are receiving from Taylor Dyer is unbelievable. We had successfully made it 3 weeks into closing on a home and the lender that he so closely works with caused us to lose the deal due to a COVID overlay and disqualified us for our purchase with no fault to us as buyers - as told to us by the lender and Taylor himself. Only to be told that we only got our earnest money back because the seller failed to sign a disclosure within the time frame stated .
Secondly, Taylor continues to fail by a major lack of attention to detail and continues to send us homes that are specifically in the two neighborhoods that we are strictly not okay with living in. We have relayed this several times, and continue to only receive listings for homes in these areas. Isn t a realtor supposed to be looking out for your best interest ? It surely is not sending you several homes that clearly are not within our guidelines of interest so that he can make a commission check happen sooner rather than later.
We had found a new construction home in our price range on our own, and have done all the work to make the process work smoothly. So when we were asked if we would like to use our own realtor, we said no. The choice was clear to go through the builder. Due to the lack of attention to detail, general care for our best interest and of course due to our horrible experience with the first home that we had attempted to purchase.
This has all in all been an overly difficult and exhausting process, which we had somewhat expected, but not to this extent. After working for a fellow real estate office in the area, I would never expect for this process to be as convoluted and trying as it has been. Come to find out, Taylor has gone after us and attempted to force his representation on us, AFTER we had communicated that we would not like to continue to work with him and WHY. Furthermore, he requested that we pay for his travel expenses AS WELL AS requesting that we refer him to family and friends, and then had discontinued contact with us. Then, we get a call from the builder stating that Taylor has approached the builder directly as our Buyer s Agent and tells them AND us that it is in OUR best interest to work with him and that due to our contract (that by the way, was never explained to us in the extent that he has attempted to chase it down), that he will be representing us - disregarding our wishes to part ways.
This is a true nightmare and goes to show that good faith that is listed in these contracts just cannot be expected nor trusted anymore. I am deeply disappointed. As if buying your first home was not already difficult and exhausting enough of a process, add a realtor who has made it clear that they only care about their commission check to the equation and failed to communicate. There is ALWAYS a way to communicate and maintain a respectful relationship, and this was definitely not it.
They are incompetent, but that's ok. What isn't ok is the constant lying about the closing date. They keep lying and lying and we've had enough. Steer clear of Ian Berg and these people.
