Kellenberg is an amazing school with a great curriculum and teachers that want every student to do well and succeed. The variety of clubs and activities here is second to none so there is something for everyone. The entire campus is beautiful and vibrant. Every school has its issues here and there but Kellenberg is always improving and striving to cultivate the best learning environment possible. The administration is top tier and values every student. So if you are looking for a great Catholic high school, look not further than KMHS. You will have an amazing experience here if you are motivated and willing to succeed. I can undoubtedly say that this school made me a more well rounded person and really prepared me for college.

Please do not send your children to Kellenberg. I am currently a junior in college and to this day graduating from Kellenberg was the best day of my life. Kellenberg was a cult, the teachers did not care for you and if you weren t popular you had no friends. All the reviews saying don t listen to the people who leave 1 star reviews, they probably weren t in any clubs or sports are wrong. I was in 7 clubs throughout my four years and I was on the dance team and I still had the worst experience of my life. My parents regret sending me to kellenberg more than anything. They can see that school has changed me for the worse. Mrs. Mulligan, the dean for girls, would target girls she didn t like and make their lives miserable. There are so many better high schools out there, save your money and don t send your kids to Kellenberg unless you want them to graduate with severe anxiety.
Making children to not have their own views and forcing them to go to pro life rallies. We get it it s a catholic school but don t force your pro life views on young children. Gross
I gave the school 5 stars about four years ago (when I was a sophomore at the school) and now that I'm well past graduation I would love to share my experience at Kellenberg. The 4 years I spent here was the best time of my life! The teachers are amazing, kind-hearted, and readily available to assist you with anything you need. The school is based off of the Catholic Marianist Order, where the religious brothers and priests have a firm founding in Catholic Education through Mary the Mother of God. Honestly attending Kellenberg not only changed me mentally (in terms of preparing me for College) but also spiritually (something that we all need in this day and age). They have a plethora of clubs and activities, and if you dont find something you are interested in (which I find kinda hard to believe if you want my honest opinion) you can always make a club.
My only caveat, which I won't dock Kellenberg points for this; mainly because they are making a conceited effort to change this; however Kellenberg's Science and Math courses are lackluster in comparison to some public schools in the local area. Personally (as someone who is going into the engineering field) I found that most of the knowledge in terms of science and math that I made in the school didn't apply to anything in college, and in some courses (like physics) I had to re-teach myself the entire course (especially considering I took the physics class at Kellenberg literally the school year before I took a similar course in college). The only science class that I was truly prepared for thanks to Kellenberg was Chemistry. I'll be blunt when I say that I didn't study a day for my chemistry course in college (because I retained all of the information from K-Berg).
In any event I highly doubt too many people will read this but if you happen to be one of the few, I really do recommend this school! I believe it is the best Catholic High School experience on Long Island, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience back when I was still a teen.
This school is amazing!!! Don't listen to those stupid moms who don't know anything. I love my friends here and there is a lot of clubs to chose from. All textbooks and work is on the iPad which is great because now kids don't have to break there backs. Go here. Its worth the money.(BTW I go there)
Terrible experience at a terrible school. Staff is horribly biased and the students are extremely stuck up. Nobody will like you unless you play a sport. You will get detention if you bring a water bottle to school. Any other catholic school on Long Island would be better than this dump. Don't send your kids here! This school lies and makes themselves look good but they're not!
i love the school. kellenberg is a school that is filled great teachers, nice staff, and a huge amount of people that some can call family. all the angry moms are saying bad things about the school that are overly exaggerating. yes, the school prays 24\7, but what did u expect? your going to a catholic, marianist school and you expect that you won t pray a lot? wow. and yes, some of the food isn t good, so what? not every school has outstanding food. but some of the food actually is good so your just going to have to deal with it. also, no you can t bring a water bottle around. why? because there was someone who got caught from putting alcohol in a bottle so they banned them. this is coming from a student that currently goes to the school. so overall, i love it.
Don t listen to all the mad moms. So what if you can t bring a water bottle, it s because high schoolers can bring beer. I love Kellenberg because there is a club for everybody, even me who is VERY picky with activities. Not every school is perfect, I bet if all of these Karen s think the reason their kid didn t get into Harvard is because of Kellenberg. NO! It s because your kid gets 25% on all of their quizzes.
