Used to have no Issue with Dale's Powersport (now Keego Powersport) even enjoyed conversations with Dale himself. he personally replaced the Impeller on my boat in 10 minutes and got me back on the lake, saving my day off/day out on the lake with friends WELL after their posted 6PM closing time...
Fast forward to recent time and a guy named Heath (who owns Dairy Queen, and a few other buildings in Keego) the man is completely dishonest. I took my boat in to have them winterize and store it (as i did every year) they came back at me with a over $800 bill, saying i had Diesel fuel in my tank, and they had to do tons of work just to get it running to do the winterization. This is only 2 months after i had it in to them for a full tune up, etc. they said the fuel pump was cross threaded, spark plugs were wrong etc. funny they didnt say ANY of that 2 months before when they "power tuned the motor."
I fill up ONLY at gasdocks and other non ethanol gas stations. the places i have put gas in my boat do not even sell diesel. yet sure enough there was diesel in my tank, which they didnt even bother to drain. They told me all i had to do was empty the diesel and i would be set to go.... not trusting them i took it to the local Malibu Dealer where they sure enough found diesel in the tank, and even after removing the tank, flushing the gas, scrubbing the whole tank out, than refilling with new gas, the boat still BARELY ran.... started, and fell flat on it's face....it is clear to me Keego Powersport sabotaged my boat simply to make more money off me and did not repair ANYTHING. Avoid these guys like the plague... They also only have 1 boat mechanic, everyone else is jetski certified only. I could not get any information about what certifications their boat mechanic had, Indmar, Mercruiser, etc.... From what i can tell he probably does not have any.
Looks like some new faces are starting to turn the place around. Would recommend for all boating needs
Positive experience all the way around with Keego Powersports maintaining, winterizing and shrink wrapping our Sea Doo.
Keego Power Sports was able to diagnose, repair my Waverunner and get me back on the water! It seems my situation was more complicated from some other cut and dry situations. It took some major trouble shooting and in the end they made good on their promise to get my Yamaha back on the water. Furthermore, they offered to give me the part for free and not bill me for the extra hours it took due to taking longer than initially expected to complete the job. I insisted they bill me and I assured them my motivation wasn't to get a deal , it was only to get my Waverunner fixed at a fair price. It seems clear they have done both and I would recommend them in the future.
