A very nice exhibition and explanation of the textile period in Horst. Magnificent !!!
Good library. Beautiful location. Run with lots of love by many volunteers
We expected to be able to view the collection in an hour. However, the tour offered was done so enthusiastically and interestingly that we have been there twice the time! What a great afternoon with coffee and pie at the end and nice purchases from the museum shop. Recommended!
Fun and educational overview in an old factory hall about the history of lace making
A beautiful museum that shows both lace and industrialization, in addition, it has a nice documentation center
I really liked it and the guide gave interesting information about the history of the museum, among other things. I got enough inspiration for my hobbies
Super nice museum, nice things to see. Nice guided tour!
Was very interesting to see it, and you got a good explanation.
Informative and inspiring. Also very nice to see old and new crafts, techniques.
Because it is not a very large museum, you can certainly take your children with you.
You can also drink nice coffee and buy real lace.
37HorstSevenum although not close to the train station (about 3km away) I took a little detour to check out the textile history of Horst. Happy I took the detour, perfect blend of history and new designers talents displayed here, if your looking for in-depth knowledge or just curious to learn more this is a gem. There is a library , craft work for sale as well as a cafe and the staff there host a very warm welcome #HorstSeveum #railthetrails
A local museum of which the most special is that the original machines are still present and works. The enthusiastic volunteers cannot stop talking about it
a visit to the lace factory in Horst is always a pleasant experience. Enthusiastic people welcome you. The old machines with which machine lace was made, the many preserved lace objects, patterns and related items are interesting. There are regular exhibitions of contemporary textile works.
There is a large selection of second-hand books on lace, knitting, embroidery and weaving, for example. Small textile gifts are also offered and you can enjoy a drink.
An interesting story about how linen was produced. Machines for the production of lace. Collection of thimbles. The first exhibition of Russian applied art.
Interesting but also fun for adults and children
Who normally never visit a museum.
With love and attention run by volunteers ... time for Limburgian flan and coffee
Nice intimate museum with friendly employees. Interesting lace machines and beautiful stories about the lace factory. . Lots of samples from the lace that was made here. Also regularly beautiful temporary exhibitions. Cozy restaurant and nice shop. Recommended ...
It was a very nice experience for me and my children with the workshop tinkering. We enjoyed it very much. They have been sweet and crafted all afternoon. Nice to get an impression of the village during the holidays in such ways.
Great little museum of local handicraft. Well worth a visit. We appreciated the guide speaking English with us.
If you are lucky you walk with a small group with the guide. We joined a larger group, yet the explanation was clear. Very interesting. The temporary exhibition was also beautiful.
Children were fun to work with. The workshops were also fun and the factory itself was beautiful.
Beautiful museum. Good guides. Interesting history about a beautiful old craft. Worth the effort.
A wonderful museum for people with technical interest. All devices are still working, and some are being demonstrated. Nice overview of the local lace industry. There was also a temporary exhibition of wearable art. Beautiful creations, which form a nice contrast with the permanent collection.
This museum gives a nice picture of the lace production with working machines from 1750 to the embroidery of this time. And a tour is highly recommended.
Very good guide with a very good and friendly guide. Super interesting who wants to broaden their horizons.
Thanks to the whole team
Nice place with a lot of history.
Unfortunately, the museum was closed, and we could not view it from the inside, so my rating stays at 3 stars.
Museum with constantly changing exhibitions. Definitely worth it. Also nice to see how earlier machine lace was made. A gigantic library about textiles in all its facets. Nice well-organized workshops.
Nice exhibition. Is not just about side. Also about employment development in the region.
Good tour and it is run by only volunteers you can be proud of.
Try to maintain or prepare an extra exhibition.
You dive into the present and past. Always an interesting range of collection. Good 2-hand books about needlework, all types at a small price
Glad that this still exists. Impressive machines of which some still do it simply by super deployment of volunteers. Temporary exhibitions at a high level!
Fascinating museum, with working machines. Nice to see how all those moving and rotating parts can create such beautiful patterns.
Very interesting and fun to be able to walk around in the old workshop.
Aanrader voor mensen die met stoffen werken, en ook te buiten.
Leerzaam voor de algemene ontwikkeling van je hier zijn, en te ervaren hoe dingen tot stand komen. In dit geval, de kant en de stoffen en de kleuren er in.
