I have never in my life been treated so well by any group of humans ever! From the Er, where I started my journey, to the operation room and ICU, where I was discharged, I was more than just a lil impressed at the staff and their wonderful attitudes! Great care as well!

My daughter, who is a young mom of 3 beautiful little children and has adopted 4 young kids who are now teenagers and has been in pain for 2 months, finally decided to go in and be seen for abdominal pain, ONLY TO WAIT 4 HOURS LEAVING, More
Last week, I had to visit the Kansas Medical Center in Andover on two separate occasions. The first visit was for Emergency Care and the second was for a procedure that required an over-night stay. The care was simply outstanding during both instances. The hospital, itself, is an excellent facility but that wouldn't mean a thing to me if the care wasn't all that it could be. And, indeed, it was. My physician, Dr. Reader, was so compassionate and attentive. The staff in the heart cath lab were wonderful and the nursing staff were top notch (and I come from a family of nurses). It was evident that the technology used was of the highest quality. I am surprised to say that even the food was good. The convenience of location of the facility was also perfect me...although, if I didn't live close, I'd make an extra drive to have care at the KMC. This is truly a unique hospital that seems to have a different focus than other hospitals. There is nothing about the hospital that seems "corporate". This is a hospital that is about patient care...total and complete. Thank you, Kansas Medical Center...and thank you to all the staff. I am very grateful for your compassion and all you do to help so many. Sincerely, Alan Held
A trip to the ER is so easy here! There was no wait. It is a small hospital with 4 ER rooms, but when a teen has anaphylaxis and forgot their epi pen it is the perfect hospital. We saw a dr and put nurse quickly, meds were pushed quickly and 4 short hours later we went home (4 hours is required for observation) paperwork was brought quickly so ER could discharge at the 4 hour mark. There are 2 vending machines close by with bottles coffee, ice tea and snacks. They take cash or charge. Everything was clean in good repair
Emergency room. Brought 80 year old mother to emergency entrance and girl running counter asks if I can get her in wheelchair. I replied no and she pushed wheelchair to me and shows me the door. After I get mother into wheelchair, the staff can't even open door for me to get in with it. This is where I've stopped to review. Will be back with review of services later but first impression is horrible and dangerous. I would be more than happy to be contacted and point out, and load employee into wheelchair and show her the door!
I have just spent 10 days here after a a pretty extensive surgery. Let me tell you something I have never had better care anywhere else that I have been to. The nurses were always pleasant and comforting and had smiles on their faces no matter how frantic the day was. Th aide staff was great as well. The housekeeping personal and the grill personnel were friendly as well. Between the doctors and the nurses I knew where I was in the whole process. Discharge planner worked on the many issues to get me released. I want to thank everyone involved in my care and recovery I would not hesitate to use this hospital in the future.
Had my first surgery ever at this facility was overall treated very well but when given the anesthesia I remember telling the lady it was hurting my arm and woke up with claw marks on my shoulder. I kept apologizing when I woke up and one nurse was reassuring i was ok I didn't do anything wrong and one nurse rushed in telling me to quit apologizing that it was a rough surgery very rudely acting like something happened makes me wonder if she did something wrong
