The ultimate best sushi place! Texture, flavors, selection! Smaller bites because of the less rice but its just makes more perfectly balanced! And the low carb rolls to die for!

Stopped in for dinner and found it was a pre opening night but was welcomed in still. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was excellent I had the gyoza for a appetizer which was delicious then I had some shrimp sushi which the shrimp was fresh and tasty. For the main dish I had the chicken fried rice which was very flavorful and the chicken was tender and juicy. Will be visiting again soon.

The best sushi chef and restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Do yourself a favor and ask for the chef special. You won t regret it! Everything was delicious and well prepared.

So I have been to Kaizen about 15 times now and definitely the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to in my life. They have the most unique rolls and freshest Sushi I have ever had. The husband and wife owners come and say hello every time I have been there. They make you feel so welcomed. Highly recommend this place

We are staying in Florida for a little vacation from Michigan. We tried this place out for the first time. Due to Covid, we did not feel comfortable going out or eat. This place had by far, the best sushi. It was fresh, fast and affordable! I was worried about getting carry-out sushi but it did not disappoint. It was amazing!!!!!!

Food is very good. Very friendly people and great service. The owner is very nice and they make sure you feel comfortable and good with the food. Fried coconut is delicious and try the lemongrass chicken.

Wow! Excellent sushi and appetizers! Our party had the salad with ginger dressing, gyoza, crab Rangoons, and shrimp tempura. All excellent! I ordered the Hawaiian roll and had the Vanilla ice cream with the chocolate cake! Very tasty and satisfying! The staff are very friendly. We will be back.

After travelling a whole day, being awake 22 hours we decided before goin to sleep to have a small meal or snack We were friendly allowed to come in at 10pm (other restaurants were just closed) Very good and beautiful presented fresh made sushi First time ever my husband had a sort of sushi/mini wrap with beef and he likes it! He is no fan of sushi but he liked this meal today! Very friendly people Everybody took good care of us without being annoying (overasking) Nice cozy ambiance

The chef came to our table and made suggestions. They were all terrific, and included one item that wasn't on the menu. Every roll we ordered was delicious. We are so glad we found this place and we'll be back soon!

Six of us had the most amazing dinner at this recently opened restaurant. The tempua shrimp was the best I have ever tasted! Sushi was excellent. My friend shared his chicken katsu which was wonderful! Service was perfect. We will visit often

Very impressive hidden gem! The sushi was all really fresh, well prepared, great flavor combos in the rolls, friendly staff, good parking, etc. The real surprise was how amazing the lamb chops were! They were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and a wonderful sauce that complimented them without overpowering! We also enjoyed some good sake from the bar and tried the iced green tea. The owner was friendly and cordial also. Will definitely be going back!

I read the reviews on this place and was very excited to try it out. The ambience is nice and the service is pretty outstanding. You can tell that the food is made with high quality ingredients; it s delicious! I had the seared scallops and they were very fresh and good. My husband had the chicken teriyaki and he loved it. Also, it doesn t hurt that the prices are reasonable. We ll be coming back very soon!

Wow, what an experience. High quality food, friendly wait staff and pleasant ambience. The Sushi is one of the best we ever had. Try the Tofu appetizer, just wonderful and if you are vegetarian, Lucky roll is a hit. The Martinis are delicious and not over priced. This was our second time and we will be back.

5 star sushi bar. Best I've had in awhile. Chef told me the escolar which I normally dont like is best ice cold and it was surprisingly delicious. I had the Party 1 and my mom crushed a Kaizen roll. Will go back again soon!

This spot is worth trying. They have large portions for reasonable prices. Consistently neat and with good vibes. Will come back again.

Wonderful attentive service and the sushi was terrific. We had a party of 11 and all the maki and sushimi were delicious and beautiful. Teriyaki chicken was delightful and we enjoyed the whole experience. Age range from 6-80.

This is the best quality sushi in ftlauderdale. I almost gave up on eating at sushi restaurants. The chef has so much passion an personality with his craft. I know in 6 months it will be hard to get in it's that amazing! Atmosphere is great staff are great they even have tablecloths love it. I have eaten sushi 35 years this is real deal . Try it you will love everything about it I promise.

WOW!!!!! What else can I say. If you love high quality sushi, and you love to try things other than the typical California roll and Tuna sushi, than this is the place to go. I happened in on a Wednesday night, by myself, on business and I was amazed at what I had found. Having been to Japan over 20 times in my life, eaten sushi over the last 30 years in Chicago, New York and LA, I found this place to be on par with anything I have had before. Let s start with service. I sat at the sushi bar where my waitress was Leigh Ann, and she was fantastic. But she was assisted by many others who helped me through out the evening. It was not one of those places where three people walked passed you and never acknowledged your presence. Everyone that walked passed asked if I needed anything. Leigh Ann and the rest of the team were awesome. The sushi chef is Que, (pronounced Wi). He is truly amazing with what he is doing with sushi. Like I said before, I have been eating sushi a long time so it s hard to surprise me, but Que really knows what he is doing and is very passionate about the food he prepares. He served me Salmon belly like I have never had it prepared before. It was delicious. The Uni was so fresh and tasted just like it was caught yesterday. I m not a big fan of sushi rolls but he made me a summer roll that was simply delicious. Parking is a little tight but you can park across the street. If you have any problems just give them a call and they will instruct you where you can park. If you are in the area and looking for great quality sushi, please give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

For a late lunch. It was very quiet at 3:30 in the afternoon. Very friendly.
We started with a Plum wine , plus a Merlot and the crab Rangoon, which had a lot of cream cheese and it came with a spicy sweet-and-sour sauce. Looked real nice .
Then G had the Volcano roll which came with tuna.
I had the Lobster maki w/o the tuna. Big pieces. Really good .

Wow! What an amazing experience I had at Kaizen! I am a sushi lover and I work in the hospitality industry and it s been a long time since I ve written a review but this restaurant deserves the praise! The staff were so friendly and owners were so kind, pleasant and guiding us through the menu with ease. My friends and I tried a plethora of items ranging from dumplings to uni! The walnut shrimp were so luscious and the sauce has just enough acid to compliment the creamy components. We then had an Omakase experience with our sushi portion of the dinner. The fish were so fresh! We had aji, shima aji as part of the display and it was so light and fresh! The best thing about the rolls was the amount of rice, it was the perfect ratio to the fish and veggies. I hate it when the rolls are rice heavy. My two favorite things that I ate was the Japanese scallop sashimi which was topped off with ikura and a slight touch of yuzu and it was heavenly. Lastly I finished the meal with Japanese uni sashimi on fried shiso leaf and it was honestly one of the best I ve eaten in a long time. Honestly I can keep going about the amazing items I ate but you just have to try it for yourself! Can t wait to come back and have another Yuzu martini!

In my humble opinion this restaurant is one of the best gems in fort Lauderdale. The service is great and the owner extremely attentive. He is also well versed in sushi. Besides the normal and traditional types of sushi, the chef brings fish imported from all over the world. It is a pleasure to dine there. Noodle dishes and appetizers are great. Somebody has mentioned ina review that the service belonged to a diner. i think she is completely wrong

Thank you KAIZEN Sushi Bar & Grill for making a tasty chirashi bowl! I have had many different ones and have been waiting for one like this! You not only get fresh slices of fish, but this bowl has some tasty layers of pickled veggies and mushrooms, sprinkles of sesame seeds and seaweed! I appreciate the effort to make this bowl special.

Love this family operated restaurant! The owners are just the nicest people and they really made us feel at home. We cannot wait to come back again soon!

When you sit down, they give you markers so you can mark down what you would like to order.

The amazing lamb chops is so good. It's cooked perfectly and the sauce is finger licking good.

We like a lot of fresh sushi rolls and hand rolls so this is where the markers came in handy.

If you want to splurge, please get Toro. You won't be disappointed. We tried both the Toro hand-roll and Toro sushi.

We also got uni and eel rolls. HEAVENLY!

They recommended the Rock and roll and KAIZEN roll. Kaizen roll is super light and refreshing with the mango. We really enjoyed it.

This place is absolutely incredible. The owners are amazing people who will go above and beyond to make sure you have the very best experience. The knowledge and passion behind the sushi chef specials are amongst the best in the world, Qui is definitely a once in a generation chef and just the nicest person. This place will soon become one of the top 20 places to eat in all of south florida. Definitely recommend giving them a try.

We just had our first take out from Kaizen, but it wont be the last-sushi and sashimi were very fresh, well prepared, not too much mayo on the rolls; all the ingridients just flow together and we loved our dinner

First time here- husband and I. Left the baby with the grandparents. Such a nice experience! We have our favorite sushi place around here but Kaizen has blow it out of the water with quality of food, price, and customer service. Junior was so friendly and on top of everything! Our bartender was friendly and made great drinks. And Qui I believe was the owner, went around and spoke with every table- making sure Everything was up to par. He also cleaned up tables and got them ready for the next party- now that s a perfect example of a great leader. Would highly recommend and this has now become a new spot for us to visit frequently!

Delicious flavorful food and very good friendly attentive service. The Kaizen Roll is my favorite and they have the best version of the Volcano Roll where the topping isn t a lot of mayonnaise. All the appetizers we ve tried have also been very good!

Photos don't do the justice this food deserves. This is hands down the best sushi you are going to find anywhere. Everything is top tier. The chef Qui is so into the food and knows everything about the different fish. You have to try anything he suggest. Once you've had this sushi, you won't get it anywhere else. You'll finally understand what quality is. I love everything here from the house salad with the best ginger dressing you have ever had to the Ocean Trout and Blue Fin Tuna. It's not just great food, but the staff is awesome also. This is the best restaurant in Fort Lauderdale because the service is on point and the quality is 5 stars. There are so many other menu items I want to try, but I can't get away from the sushi. Make sure you sit at the sushi bar if you want to learn about the fish because Qui will tell you. After going there a couple times, he'll remember your name and that's what you want. Nothing like a business that takes pride in their product. 6 STARS if Google would let me.

Fresh seafood, beautifully presented, welcoming staff... just an overall great experience. I haven't loved a sushi restaurant since Kotobuki in West Babylon, NY. ... over 10 years. Happy I finally found one.

Chef Qui is a Sushi genius, no contest. I have sampled MANY other restaurants in the area but none come close to the freshness, creativity and captivation of this establishment. Do yourself a favor and stop eating mediocre sushi, eat Kaizen sushi!! *Update 12/19* Our 2nd dinner was just as delicious as the 1st! The service is attentive and the fish are straight from Japan. We had 7 different fish to choose from and we chose 2. I am thrilled!! This sushi bar is a hidden gem that everyone should try.
