One of the best protestant preachers in the entire valley. The music is iffy because it's not Consistent as the lead singer and such change every week it seems. They are also not college friendly. They won't spend a dime on you once you leave high-school. They just don't care for young adults it seems. But otherwise they are nice people who are real Christians.

Is this performance art? What happened to the bowling alley?

I thought I'd stop by the 49th Street Galleria for some miniature golf and cosmic bowling, but instead I found myself in the middle of a K-Pop version of Neil Diamond's Travelling Salvation Show.

I'll try again on Friday night, and see if the roller rink is back.

I loved the music ,message on spiritual gifts, the closing music worship time was awesome!!!
Was a different experience from all the independent small Baptist churches I have been apart of. For my life right now looking to worship the Lord without everyone in your business. Thank you k2 for what I am searching for.
Liked the set up at the church and friendly folks.

When I first got into town I fell out of the U-Haul and broke my foot the first morning. Single mom with a 5 year old child in a full U-Haul.
Had to get ready at the truck stop in the bathroom and drove over to K2, sat through the service in excruciating pain and then went to ask a staff person/pastor if they could help me in some way.
I had to unload at a storage facility I was told they didn't do that type of thing and there was no way they could help me and they sent me to the Calvary Chapel up the street. Needless to say I never went back

I really enjoyed the Apologetic class last night taught by Tim, he incorporated a lot of great science stuff. I am a fan of the long running TV sitcom The Big Bang Theory. He emphasized that science & faith are not discordant.

Pastor Dave Nelson and his team constantly create their message to captivate and connect close with everyone. Be prepared to have your emotions stirred and senses opened to come alive. Would easily win America's Got Talent for Best Sermons, hands down! Fellowship is great offering ongoing classes, training, events, local and foreign support group services, terrific child care. A heap of friendly hospitality makes Ya wanna sit an' stay a spell. Ya'll come back now, ya heer!

The church seems nice though no one says hi. It was strange I introduced myself to the pastor and he seemed almost taken aback or uncomfortable. The only person that even acknowledged me fairly was a lady at the bagel table serving bagels she had a conversation with me about a kids camp I had helped at. Twice now I have gone and sat completely alone. Not the best feeling in a place of worship when you already feel alone.

This is an amazing and diverse group of individuals. The congregration enjoys being in community and fellowship with one another. I can tell there is an emphasis on serving one another in love. There is such a great program for the youth - and on Sunday mornings they have coffee & bagels. The music is outstanding - and the messages are passionate and about real life topics. One of the best time investments of my week. I truly enjoy my time spent here.

My husband and I have been attending K2 for about a year-and-a-half. I have been so pleased when hearing Pastor Dave Nelson and Mike Rutherford when they share the messages each week. The passion both of these men have for God, their realistic views of life and their messages of how and why we can live happier day to day have been balms to my hurting and broken self. I now know that I am worthy of God's unconditional love where during the first part of my life I never felt like I was 'enough'. As a professional musician, I am quite particular about music and how it affects my worship. The music at K2 is beyond what I ever imagined church music could be. The musicians giving their talents each week to bring me closer to God are professional and highly talented. While I enjoy every moment of time I'm there on Sundays, the worship through music time is my fav. :) Their education classes start with Base Camp, where anyone at any stage of life can attend. Their children's program, according to my 10-year-old son, is AWESOME. Both my husband and I attend a Monday evening event called "Celebrate Recovery", which I was attending at first just to support him. I soon learned that I had my own hurts, habits and hang-ups where I could apply the Christ centered 12-step program. Both of us now are in leadership positions in CR as a musician and as a facilitator. I have found renewed faith in a church, in Jesus Christ and in God. My life is markedly better because of K2 The Church. You should totally come join us!

I ve been calling K2 my home church for years and the church has only grown increasingly welcoming to everyone. We are a church for the broken. One that is focused on Jesus, tight with each other, and out there in the community. No matter where you are with God, there are people in the same place, willing to come alongside you.

A stack of reviews cannot begin to describe the fantastic church that is K2, you really just must experience it for yourself! That said, this is an absolutely fantastic non-denominational Christian church. An amazing pastoral team approaches the Bible in a relatable and engaging manner. Centrally located in a modern structure, the environment is casual, modern and come-as-you-are. The children and youth programs are the best I've ever seen in the Salt Lake Valley. While there are hundreds of attendees of all ages, cultures, races and expressions, it is a younger crowd than many other non-denom churches in the area.
**Note, if you have children ages five and under, plan to arrive 15 mins before services start, as classes and childcare consistently fill to capacity. This is something K2 is working to address.

Heard a great deal about the church and how it helps the community yet I haven t been able to get help and every post I post on the site is removed. However I see many asking for help in a round about way.. should I lie and ask for prayer just to get help or can one honestly be helped?

I moved to UT for a short term Job. I have been to Churches all around the world. So I wanted to check out a few Churches in UT. I went to K2 and I couldn't leave it. I was so touched by the spirit of God. God is there in this Church. If you want to go to a Church where you can feel God every Sunday, this is the place in UT. I don't know of the other Churches. Sorry I never visited the other Churches. I am not making a call on the other Churches.
If there is one thing I would want to have K2 do is become more welcoming to New comers. In my 8 weekends here, I was never smiled at or welcomed.
But believe me the services were beyond satisfying.

I found the services to be very relevant to life and thought provoking. They made it easy to find ways to engage through the next steps tables where you can get involved in a life together group, serving in the church, one of the community outreach program, or classes. The set up made it so that if you wanted to melt into the background before getting involved you could. The security team was also a reinforcing factor because the safety of the children in their classes was made a very distinctive high priority since there were members of security at those areas and in main service. Since moving out of Utah I still listen to the podcasts.

I cannot say enough how blessed me and my wife were to have listened to the Holy Spirit and made it through those doors this morning! My wife and I have been through so much and we have had a strained relationship regarding faith! I have been praying for so long that we could be one in Christ but what I did t know was that God had this day planned well in advance. I have allowed things from my past to take hold of me causing a separation between God and I and of course that lead to a broken relationship with my wife.... so much more to it all but I can sum it up with this.... Pastor David spoke Gods Word in truth and passion... God spoke to both my wife and I and we together rededicated ourself and our marriage today!!!

I love this church. Everyone's friendly. There's always coffee, and you can buy a bagel and schmear for cheap if you get there and forgot to eat breakfast.
The pastor, Dave, is a great speaker, and I love that his sermons really make me think.
It's a large church, so I felt nervous going in the first time, but the greeters were friendly and helped me get where I needed to go. I have since made this my home church.

I have nothing to say. I will stick with the Christian religion that I have chosen long ago. I am happy that people have at least chosen to believe in Christ, rather than stay in sad darkness.

We have been attending in person and online for 1 year. Dave Nelson is an awesome pastor! He is so funny, relatable, and a good story teller. We have really enjoyed our life together group and the friendships we've made. K2 has done a good job changing the church experience throughout the COVID mess

K2 is an awesome church! It is very large which I didn't like at first but it actually doesn't affect me like I thought it might. As long as you get involved in a life together group you will be fine. One thing I love about K2 is it is very accepting of everyone. It doesn't matter if you are covered in tattoos or whatever, it simply does not matter. The pastor loves Jesus and you can tell. He wants to share his passion for Christ with all of us. They have a great kids program too, my son loves it. I highly recommend checking it out.

This is a great church for anyone that wants to have a close relationship with God. As their mission statement goes "come as you are" is really practiced here. I have been attending this church for more than 2.5 years, and love it. Everyone who serves in any of its ministries are very loving people with the desire to help you and support you in your walk with Christ. They have 4 different bands that are on a rotating schedule every week. They also have different production teams. And it is just nice to see them all volunteering their time and using their talents to serve God in leadership at K2.

They have different meeting groups that will support you regardless where you are in your journey with Christ. They have:

Encounter: a group of 20's and 30's people that meets every Tuesday
Life together groups: There are several groups throughout the valley that you can join, whichever is closest to you. This group will like eventually become your family, as you will notice, you will create a family of brothers and sister in Christ in any group or anyone that you meet at K2.
They have also different classes throughout the year that you can join.

From lead pastor- Dave Nelson, Music director -Mike Rut, Production -Trudi, Kat, and Garret, and to everyone on leadership roles at K2 will welcome you with open arms. These people always put all their heart to serve God and also lead others to God in each of their respective leadership positions. If you are looking to visit K2 for the first time, I recommend you to talk to any of these people. They are just so loving!

This is an Antichrist church. This is not Christia...

This is an Antichrist church. This is not Christianity, this is false religion. This church is worldly, ungodly, disrespectful to God, and unfaithful to the Bible. I fail for words to describe how dangerous this church is for new believers and I pray against this satanic institution in the name of Christ.

When I visited this church they were playing Lynyrd Skynyrd and other secular rock songs before the service. They threw out a beach ball and bounced it around during "worship." The music is devoid of the Spirit and is so loud it is uncomfortable. They sing the typical theologically void and empty Christian songs that you would hear on the radio.

They offered a plate of pancakes free to someone in the congregation. They cleared the floor and used kids with their BMX bikes to perform tricks while the fake pastor tried to correlate it into how the Holy Spirit works.

The fake pastor wears shorts and flip flops during the service. Utterly disgraceful to God and heaven. This guy lacks any theological depth and does not know how to rightly divide the Word of truth. He cannot preach, he cannot teach, and does not use a Bible while on stage (you will never see this guy with a Bible). He does not know how to develop a biblical sermon and instead, turns his messages into pep talks. He fails with his analogies which are not convicting nor convincing.

I warn all who are considering a visit to this church to stay away from here. This place will shipwreck your faith. This fake church in no way represents true biblical Christianity. In fact, what this fake church is doing is deceiving people into believing they are saved by making them feel inclusive and feeding their emotions. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHURCH.

Someone in the music department sure knows what they are doing! These people really understand how to facilitate an encounter with God through music that is easy to pick up, in a comfortable key for everyone, and lead with passion. (And the sermon will knock your socks off too!)
