Dont recommend this place it was my first time going to this location and they thought they could rip me off lol no i took my items back. Took 2 huge stainless steal rice pots and they tried giving only $10 hahaha if only they knew how much they actually costed. I also believe they rip you off if you tell them its your first time at that location

They only wanted to pay me $14 for my catalytic converter. Told me it was an aftermarket catalytic converter which it was not. horrible. I also weigh my stuff before I bring it in and on their scales, it always weighs 10-15 pounds less

Overall my experience here has been good. until I brought high grade server boards in. .08 a lb? really?? I've herd goof things about scrappys but my mother-inlaw wanted me to bring cans and stuff here. so i just started going. But I will never bring cans or anything else here. I have been in the computer recycling industry for 7 years. $.08 per lb is way to low for high grade server boards.

Visited multiple times in 2019 and was always treated very well by both the scale staff, and the administration staff... which is rare for a scrap yard. The location is great, the property is clean and easy to navigate and load and unload vehicles. Only positive feedback from this scrapper. WORD TO THE WISE: GO HERE INSTEAD OF Metro Metals Recycling! They TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIER LOYAL CUSTOMERS AND GET AWAY WITH THEFT ON A DAILY BASIS.

If you're recycling aluminum cans do not go to this location. Brought in 8 bags of crushed cans and when the gentleman weighs your bin he has to subtract the bin weight. Depending on if that guy is having a bad day or not he can subtract as much as he wants and it doesn't show on the receipt. Apparently he turned what should of been at least $30 into $13.20... Go to Northern metal Scrappy's right up the street for cans, where you put it on a conveyor belt and it actually shows you how much you brought in. I used to come here on my days off every month cause I could fill my tank and get a 6 pack. This time I only got enough to give my gas back for the trip there, after being ripped off like this I'll take my business elsewhere.

These are the nicest guys ever. Very quick to bring a bin and quick to get it on the scale. Gotta love "cleaning up the shop and yard" and walking away with a handful of cash. I personally would choose here over any other place in the T.C. area.

I have been using this place for my Alum borings ( chips or turnings ) for a long time. Sometimes I bring in cans, solid alum and carbide. Always a clean place and decent price. Been going here for 30 years. Always treated well and got a fair price for my recycling goods.

I had brought in a bunch of cans and stripped copper wire and was very pleased with the price and help I got from the employees. They are very competitive and fair on the payout and gave me some advice on what I could do to get more cash from my scrap next time. That surprised me to get that kinda information.

Shpr requires tractor and trailer mt weight from t...

Shpr requires tractor and trailer mt weight from their own scale as well as loaded weight. The bad part is their scale is not designed for conventional tractor with 53' trailer and you cross oncoming traffic to enter. Tight maneuvering to get in and out. Is located around the corner, not on shipping lot.

To load, you have to drive over sidewalk facing oncoming traffic, bear right over train tracks barely missing the safety gate and back in off the street "17"th. Of course, cars parked on both sides of street. Id hate to think someone might be unlucky one day and gets caught by the train. The neighbor moved out- go figure. Lol

Will I do again- no way!!!!
I will say, Im sure grateful to have succeeded in the process, kept calm and survived another day. Whoorah!

Nice group of guys, very helpful. Thanks to them, I'm loaded and the experience is behind me.

Very clean scrap yard / parking lot kept clean away from anything that will pop your tires like other scrap yards are notorious for doing / best price for scrap metal and copper in the Minnesota by far / very nice people that work there worth the travel to north mpls which is hard for lots to do especially in this time of age / very easy to get money or check for company / don't waste your time at any other scrap yard you will thank yourself at K & K metal and your pockets will to

I just bring in batteries I see abandoned, aluminium cans, etc just for an extra few bucks once in a while and I think all the employees are great and very courteous and helpful. Also knowledgeable regarding informing me of what I can bring in to them. I get a fair price for what I bring in.

K&K is great to work with. We pick up and deliver semi-trucks of aluminum with ease. Rena is a joy to work with as she makes sure our trucks get loaded and unloaded quickly and she is flexible with appointments when things do not go as planned.

Arturo (believe that was his name) was very helpful and friendly. I do wish the person I spoke to yesterday to gather info would have told me that they do not buy steel (that was 80% of my metal) as I wouldn't have bothered to bring it with. A much better experience than RSI in Maple Grove- I will be back.

I have been recycling copper, brass, aluminum and stainless steel here for years. The employees have always been good to me and have always been fair. The scales seem to be very accurate and the employees very quick to get the job done and me on my way.

I have been coming to KK for about 25 years. I did try a couple of other twin cities metal recyclers, Krupp has always performed best. Most of the workers know enough about the common materials to help out newbies, they DO tell you how to sort metals to maximize your payout- First time I brought in a years worth of scrap valves & pipe from plumbing and heating work I had done, they told me how to sort red brass (more valuable!) from the yellow brass. Made quite a difference in the price...
