We came on our honeymoon. Not only did they not do anything special for our honeymoon but we got food poisoning one night and when I mentioned this they said there was no way of knowing what caused it so there was nothing they could do. Also people save chairs at midnight so save yours at 11pm for the following day

Love this place my favorite place to get away with wifey just came back from costa rica and I have to say every staff are amazing front desk marco he was amazing also he upgrade me a room ocean view wow I was very happy keep up the good work marco they got it have more employees like him his great

I spent 10 wonderful days at this resort. Their staff is amazing, the view is beyond words and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The pool was the highlight of my daughter's days and it made for some great family moments. My only complaints lie in the quality of food and the beds. The food is extremely overpriced, which is to be expected when you at a remote resort such as this one, but the quality was poor and that I cannot excuse. I never mind paying the price for a good meal. You'd be much better served finding a local meal outside the resort. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the topper they place on it only made it worse. Putting aside those two complaints I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with JW.

Great resort! It was a little farther from Tamarindo than I would have liked though. The restaurants had good food but not the most authentic Costa Rican, although the breakfast did have solid options. The staff were very helpful too. Overall our family had a great time relaxing by the beautiful pool and hanging out at the beach.

Truly a 5 star resort, this place is beautiful! The staff is friendly and helpful as can be, and located right on the water, the sunsets are amazing. You will not be disappointed-Pura Vida!

Just made a 7 day reservation here and saved a lot of money by combining my flights with my hotel through the JW Mariott website. I'm hoping I made the right choice for my honeymoon! I give the booking process and the deal I got 5 stars, we will see if the actual stay here matches up to it.

I was at the resort for a small incentive program in February and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this property and its staff. Everything was on point: Greeted with a warm "welcome home" from the bellman, received a quick check in at reception, had friendly wait staff at all of the great restaurants, enjoyed beautifully appointed (and very clean) sleeping rooms, and had speedy food and drink service at the pool. This was my first time in Costa Rica and it was truly a memorable experience.

One of the best resorts in the Tamarindo area for sure.. There s so much luxury and comfort here at the Marriott that a review can hardly do it justice.. Breathtaking views, a virtuous and helpful staff, wonderful food, clean and comfortable rooms.. The beach in front is a little rocky but a lovely place for a swim, and the giant pool is one of the most fun and family friendly experiences we had while in Costa Rica.. You get what you pay for, and the Marriott is certainly not cheap, but in our experience it was definitely worth the price.. Their weekend buffet breakfast was an amazing treat and worth a return visit in itself.. Our friends had a wedding here a couple of years ago and said it was just perfect all around.. Definitely one of the finer locations in the area..

Most gorgeous rooms, super friendly staff. They had the most delicious fruits I've tasted. A lot of activities to do with the hotel.
