Juara beach is a nesting area for green and Hawksbill turtles. Really worth a visit if you're in Tioman

There are no live turtles kept on site, this is not how the conservation project works. The friendly staff and volunteers will be more than happy to give advice on where to snorkel for a chance at seeing the local resident population tho!

Volunteered here for almost 2 weeks, learnt a lot about turtle conservation, met lot of new people form around the world, got to explore the island and the permanent stuffs here clearly know what's best for the turtles!
It's a place for people to help in a good cause, just do not expect to see turtles as it's not a turtle exhibition (which is bad for turtles). The guide is informative!

It is a good place if you want to have some holiday and learn everything about turtle!!! The staffs and volunteers was very helpful and friendly. I really miss the environment and the wonderful experience that i got from this place.
Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We volunteered here for 5 nights, no wifi, no ac, bunk beds were comfortable waking up to the calls of chicken. Breakfast and lunch provided. Everyone volunteers for various chores daily and sufficient time to rest and do your own thing.
No live turtles here but there's a hatchery and turtle talks to attend if you're just popping by for a short visit

Worth the visit!
There were no turtles here, only many homemade things for sale with their logo on them. The guy volunteer said he pays a lot to stay there and they arent doing any research or increasing turtle survival numbers. Sad... maybe good to go if you have bored kids.
