Jump Rope Federation of India: Bringing Back the Glory Days
Jump Rope Federation of India (JRFI) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and develop the sport of jump rope in India. Founded in 2017, JRFI has been working tirelessly to bring back the glories, laurels, and wishes from an international platform.
Jump rope is a fun and challenging sport that requires coordination, agility, speed, and endurance. It involves jumping over a rope while performing various tricks and routines. Jump rope has been gaining popularity around the world as a competitive sport with its inclusion in major international events such as the World Jump Rope Championships.
However, jump rope is still relatively unknown in India despite its potential to become a popular sport among children and adults alike. JRFI recognizes this untapped potential and aims to create awareness about jump rope by organizing workshops, training camps, competitions, and other events across the country.
JRFI's mission is not only to promote jump rope but also to provide opportunities for Indian athletes to compete at national and international levels. The federation works closely with other national federations such as World Jump Rope Federation (WJRF) to ensure that Indian athletes receive proper training and exposure.
To achieve its goals, JRFI has developed a strategic plan that includes identifying talented athletes from different parts of India through talent hunts; providing them with specialized coaching; organizing local competitions; selecting teams for national championships; sending teams for international competitions; creating awareness about jump rope through social media campaigns; collaborating with schools/colleges/sports clubs/government organizations/private companies for sponsorship/partnership opportunities.
One of JRFI's major achievements so far has been sending an Indian team comprising 12 athletes (6 boys & 6 girls) along with coaches & officials for the World Jump Rope Championships held in Orlando (USA) in July 2018. This was the first time ever that an Indian team participated in this prestigious event. The team performed exceptionally well and won 2 bronze medals in the Double Dutch Speed Relay event.
JRFI's future plans include organizing a national championship every year; creating a database of jump rope athletes/coaches/officials across India; establishing training centers in different parts of India; developing a certification program for coaches/officials; collaborating with international federations for exchange programs/training camps; creating a jump rope league in India.
In conclusion, Jump Rope Federation of India is an organization that is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of jump rope in India. With its strategic plan, talented athletes, dedicated coaches & officials, and supportive sponsors/partners, JRFI is poised to bring back the glories, laurels & wishes from an international platform.
