We were visiting calama for a few days and came by jumbo for the pharmacy and some fruits, snacks and alcohol. The supermarket was huge and had plenty of selection of everything. The alcohol section was huge and there was a huge wine selection. Finding some one who spoke English was difficult but overall the shopping experience was good and the prices were reasonable.

The 'Salad' consisted of 2 green leaves (no, I'm not kidding) and about 70 % cucumber and tomato - the cheapest ingredients. The service was unfriendly. But what made them lose the 2nd star I still was willing to give was that my girlfriend - 5 minutes after leaving, paying a note of about 40 euros - asked if she could use the bathroom and was denied with the words "once you're out you're out!" Avoid!

It sure has everything you need but somewhere between the cashier scanning the barcode and the product to be put in our bags some itens got stolen, only when we arrived home we realised that we payed for things that never made to our groceries bag. Not sure if this was the cashier herself or the lady putting things in the bag but someone stole a few expensive items from our shopping list.

Small selection in comparison with other jumbos, one new 20l water bottle sells for 10,34 (8190CLP), parking lot is known for robberies.
The air was incredibly bad in some areas and smelled strange.

Typical supermarket.

Typical supermarket.
Fairly decent place. Higher prices. Not a lot of available parking.
