My mother moved to Judson Park a few years ago from her home in Cleveland Heights, and what a wonderful experience it has been! For my mom, who had been widowed for 10 years, it s been a chance to meet new people, and to have new companions to dine with at the Community Table each evening. It s been a chance to enjoy the convivial happy hours at the end of each week, and to take in a piano recital or art lecture. Always a fiercely private person, the staff at Judson has been kind and patient as she has become acclimated to her new surroundings, down to the tiniest details that have made such a big difference to her.
For my sister and me, it s meant knowing that she is safe and not alone anymore. We know she access to medical care and other services she just couldn t get when she was in her home. It means that we can drop by for a chat and spend time with her in her apartment, rather than picking up her vacuum cleaner and doing chores around her house when it became too much for her.
Now, as she has to deal with some health issues, once again, the staff has rallied around her. I can t say enough about the amazing warmth we feel from the staff and the personalized approach to all they do for her as her needs change. I can t thank everyone enough for taking such good care of our mother!
