I have been with Wellby/JSCFCU for at least 25 years and have kept large deposits there. I tried to call the main office last week and encountered the automated system and none of the prompts could get me to my simple question I wanted answered, so I went on “hold” waiting for a human to answer. I was on hold for 30 minutes at which time I decided to drive there and ask my question in person while still on hold. I went in and waited to see someone who quickly answered my question while still on hold. This is indicative of their customer service.
At one point last year I was going to bring a large sum from another bank and visited with a representative and asked about jumbo certificates and was told the saving certs all paid the same as it would not be fair to give special rates to select individuals, which all wasn’t true.
It sounds like I’m griping but some folks prefer personal service in a brick and mortar institution. I believe Wellby would prefer to be an on line company and completely do away with human interaction.
