You may not believe this (my dad didn't), but it is worth telling. I m really observant, and I ve encountered something like this before.

I was working with my dad here. We were working for a company, not for this place, which was closed during the time. Anyway, I went to the bathroom, and became suspicious of the urinals, then out. While setting up chairs, I overheard people (I didn t know them), noticed a few signs, and I figured out that there were (are?) HIDDEN CAMERAS in the bathroom. There are sensors(?) on the urinals, but they didn t work. I had to press a button. I don t know if this is normal, but I saw a red light blink once behind the sensor. After I took a piss, I went out. A minute after, I heard people laughing.

That s so gross!

Oh my god.

I was suspicious, so I went back to the urinal, I showed my middle finger. When I came out, a guy was staring at me on the stage (there were more than five people). When I went onto the stage, I heard the female say, I won t say anything. I looked at her. She looked at me. She looked a little angry. No one really looked at me, though, when I looked at them.

A minute after, I heard a description of my penis. That s when I really knew, and they knew it.

I don t want to write 10 paragraphs about all of the other details. I don't have any evidence, so whatever. I would have sued them if I knew how to, and if I wasn t leaving to a different state in an hour. If I m wrong, then I won't argue if someone calls me paranoid.

This is a theater that knows how to put on a great quality show, on time, and with great organizational skills. The doors opened on time and the lines were processed quickly. I know this seems like a given, but I can't stress enough that when a place isn't managed well, and things don't go smoothly, it really sucks. We came to enjoy an out of state comedy band and everything was really well handled. They had metal detectors and well trained door staff who were able to scan for metal, scan your tickets and regulate entry into the building. Drinks are, of course, super expensive, it's typical for a venue with a captive audience. The sets were wired and ready to go before the doors even opened. I feel like I can't say enough about their quality and efficiency. Well done! If you are looking to book an event or are seeing an event there, know that you are in good hands.

Great venue with great people running it. Bartenders are allowed to experiment and create specials. Audio engineers and management actually care about the experience, to the point that they will make adjustments to the speaker banks between acts if necessary. Ticket prices are reasonable, and management is very responsive to feedback.

Awesome intimate venue that has solid acoustics. Sit upstairs or stand downstairs with bar in both areas. They dont allow pocket knives but actually returned it to me upon leaving. Great time....especially for a Wednesday night ;)

Wow! This is my second show here where i paid $200 for vip tickets to a drag show. We still had to wait in 2 lines, very long, long lines. New orleans is hot af, we are painted to the gawds, sweating for an hour. Then you get inside and the front entryway bar is closed, no water....
Everything is standing room so if you have heels on, forgettabout it, we spent half of the show sitting on the stairs, because three hours in stilettos is not ok. Mind you this is twice! Never again. DEAR VOSS EVENTS, PLEASE PICK ANOTHER VENUE!

Fantastic sound and lighting. Intimate venue allows close access to stage. Fast and attentive bartenders at all the bars. Security is thorough but polite. Definitely one of my favorite venues in the city

Great venue. Sound engineering needs a little work. Also there is a lighting system of white spotlights on the crowd. I found it detracted from the artist's playing and was a bit blinding every time the were activated.

I purchased tickets in May for the August 27 MattyB concert. The concert was cancelled due to the hurricane and I did not request a refund at that time, however due to the other hurricane on Oct 7, the concert was cancelled again. I called ticketfly and they told me to contact Joy theater because they were issuing refunds. I have left over 8 messages and no answer when I call or no response. I am very sorry to report this however this morning, 11/03/17 a nice young man named Lucas called me and explained to me the issues that they have had and he assured me that the refund was coming. He said they had issues with the voicemail and he was very nice and very helpful. I have changed my review to "completely satisfied"!! Thank you Lucas and you deserve kuddo's for your assistance!!

You want to like this place, but they make it hard. Seating was awkward and uncomfortable (folding chairs) and the bar is not only grossly overpriced but the bartenders are self-tipping. Count your change each time.

Great venue if they didnt rip you off by opening doors late and forcing everyone through an unnecessary throng of security that takes so long you miss part of the show every time.

I have always been early and have never seen my show start bexause i am still standing in line st this venue.

Nice small venue had a good vibe. Great view of stage from anywhere in the building. For the location and the acts that come through the drinks at the bar were very reasonably priced. I have enjoyed comedy shows here from national well known acts. Would diffently return.

An excellent venue with an eclectic calendar, limited but well curated bar, and friendly staff. Slightly more expensive than a regular venue, but assigned seating and venue-wide choice vantage points make up for what you might feel is a slightly above-average ticket; again, depends on the show, however!

Great venue. Lots of room to dance and if you don't want to move, then there are also seats in the balcony. The sound is incredible here. One of my favorite venues in Nola. The drinks are acceptable prices, a little high, but they are okay for a venue.

Had an amazing time seeing CHVRCHES last night! My only complaint were the ton of people sneaking past the woman at the top of the balcony, trying to sit in reserved seats, when they had general admission tickets. The sound was a little loud and distorted, too, but it looked like an old building, so that wasn't surprising.

Nice medium sized venue. I hate that the soundboorh is in the middle of the floor, but a lot of times, that's what you get with repurposed venues of this size. The positive is that there was decent sound quality for the show.
