Really terrible customer service from the onset. The fact that I actually went through with install is a testament to how excited I was about solar.

Now that i am over 10000 in the hole and meeting with other customers it is clear that Joule took advantage of Louisiana's solar tax credits and grossly inflated prices to take advantage of the maximum credit available resulting in a higher sale for them. Companies like this I blame for what happened with the credits. Once the credits were removed its was Joules customers who suffered.

I have not heard from my sales person since being denied the credit and have received no assistance from the company. All that after being assured I had a better deal then any one before me.

I attempted to post a review to their Facebook page but noticed they removed that feature. It appears as though all recent reviews were negative.

The Joule representative who gave me an estimate was much more knowledgeable about the working of solar energy in decreasing electric costs than representatives of other solar suppliers from whom I solicited bids. Joule was able to get all 18 panels (max amount for the max tax credit) on the south side of the house where the panels are most effective. Panel installation occurred in one day (less than the estimated time). Assistance was provided with tax credit forms for the 1040 and 540. I cannot imagine why anyone whose house receives sufficient sunlight for the panels to work not getting solar panels. If I had it to do again, Joule would be my first contact.

After us purchasing solar and then following the steps that were laid out. It is clear that Joule took advantage of the tax credits and their customers. They are not handling any customer service calls from what I can see.

I was supposed to get an additional 12,500.00 back form state but since all three years of credits have been met they are not giving any more. I also got in my install before the deadline that I was told and the law changed. None of this seems to be the case.

Now I am stuck with the loan on the panels. Would never do business with a company like this again. I highly suggest you do the same.

I have solar panels installed by them and now I have to have them removed for a new roof. I have called them three times during the past two weeks. The phone went to voice mail all three times. I left the messages as instructed, but no response. This is simply very unprofessional. Someone needs to take a look at the company's "front desk".

From last three weeks I have called many times and left the messages on different extensions, but no has returned my call yet. I also left message through their website, but no response at all. I am wondering if they don t bother to return call before a service order, how in the world they will answer me if I placed the order and something goes wrong.

Thank you Joule, you have introduced yourself very honestly and I am very impressed, but very disappointed with the level of your responsibility with customer service.

Joule did an amazing job walking my wife and I through the process of getting solar panels installed on our house. The company was honest and up front about all aspects of the process. They were quick, installing the panels just a short time after we signed all the paperwork!

From David, our sales agent, to Michael, Hamilton, and Travis, the behind the scenes guys, our experience was everything that it should be. Now that the panels are up and running, we are looking forward to saving not only money, but the planet as well. We also enjoy tracking the production of the panels via the website that is provided to you.

I would recommend Joule to anyone considering solar power!!!

I have a fault in one of my inverters and I have been trying to get someone on the phone and by email for the past 3 weeks. No one ever answers the phone or responds to my messages.

Not meant for Big Rigs....STAY AWAY !!!!

No overnight parking & the loading & unloading area should be outsourced to a real parking area. So tight, I had to knock on neighbors doors around the area to move their vehicles.....low trees and tight turns. STAY AWAY FROM DELIVERING HERE !!!!

My experience with Joule was above and beyond what I could have expected! The workers were clearly exceptionally knowledgable about their product and acted in the utmost professional manner- arrived on time, available when contacted, and finished our project according to our desired and proposed schedule. This, combined with super competitive fees, renders Joule an upstanding company, which I would confidently recommend to anyone, whether you need help with a smaller-scale, residential project or a large-scale, commercial one.

I have been trying to contact them for last few Days no one is answering my phone.Sarah contacted me via email when I had issues with inverter. It went on and off few times.

Even though I ended up doing a self-install for my solar system rather than hiring Joule, they've remained in close touch with me ever since we first met during the bidding process.They've frequently and cheerfully answered questions and helped me problem solve. I'd hire them in a heartbeat next time around and recommend them without reservation.

Super-professional, super-responsive - everyone we interacted with from start to finish has been fabulous. Great to do business with.

We ve been customers of Joule for 6+ years. There was a period when it was just impossible to get a response to repeated calls for service, then after considerable frustration for some reason it improved. They replied to my calls for assistance with the repeated failure of my SunPower monitoring app and provided service at no added charge. Now we re back to being totally ignored. I ve called repeated times and left numerous messages for the service coordinator and also went as far as leave a message with an administrator. At the end of all of these calls I simply requested the courtesy of a return call only to inquire about what options I might have. Again no response and no courtesy.
Throughout this last ordeal I did learn that they no longer handle SunPower, but was informed by a technician that they do service previous customer accounts. Ha!
Do yourself a big favor and go elsewhere for your installation and service. SouthCoast Solar is now handling SunPower systems in our area and it appears that if into get any future service that this will be our provider.

I have used Joule for multiple solar projects in both residential and commercial settings. Installation always goes as promised, energy delivered is per projections, and they respond to service issues promptly. The are the leader in this market and a recommended vendor.

I had given Joule a negative review, due to months of delay in getting the net metering installed for my system. Thus, I could not get the credits from the utility for surplus production. After some additional delay, the meter was installed and the president of the company even came out to flip the switch. Since I now have a good, fully functioning solar system, I am raising my previous rating.

I toured the Joule head quarters before I bought our new home and was impressed with their business model. When I was ready for solar panels, I got bids from three companies. Butler Ives of Joule worked with us to present all the options and come up with the best quality and price to suit our needs and also helped with financing. Installation was done on schedule and with minimal impacts to us. The website to track our usage is very helpful. Follow up after installation has been excellent. Making a big difference on our electric bills.

I have been calling for over 3 weeks due to a fault in my solar panel system they installed, no response. Saw another bad review and emailed the address listed and still no response.

We got solar panels last year. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and professional. Their service is great too. They told us exactly when to file our taxes to get our credit. We did exactly what they said and got our credits, no problem. They work with you on the design, choice of kind of panels, and financing. If there is a problem with the monitoring, they send someone out to fix it asap. They even gave us macaroons during the holidays ;) I recommend them.

Joule gets my highest recommendation. Go with Joule and you will not regret it. Design and installation was first rate.

i have a jerk of a solar installer ( not at joule) install my systems. when it cane time to file my %50 tax credit the jerk did not help, so i filled the best i could. Of course i did it wrong and the state said no money for you! but would let be refile. So here is where joule comes in...called them up and Bob was very nice and helped me do the calculations to get my credit! with in 2 hours we had spoken 4 times and he was very helpful and answered all my questions. He even referred mr to a CPA that does solar tax credits to make sure every thing is filled out right!

I WILL be getting all my future PV solar equipment and installation with these guys!

Don't ever use this company. Their customer service is horrible. No one will call or email you back once you get the system in to address issues or to provide contractual obligations. Avoid this company at all costs.

Joule Energy is a very reputable, professional company. The work was done in the time period they gave us and is clean and high quality. All their employees were very professional and they were very accommodating when we asked them to make a few adjustments to the installation to make it more aesthetically appealing from the street. David Denny worked with us and he has been very helpful with answering our questions and making all the paperwork and applications as easy as possible. I would definitely work with Joule Energy again!
