Joseph Michaels Salon Review

Joseph Michael has been my salon of choice for over 15-years and I cannot sing its praises enough! In this review, I want to highlight my most-favorite person, my esthetician, Emilia!!! Prior to 2016, I had not had regular facials as I would get occasional chemical peels through my dermatologist. As a treat in 2016, I booked with Emilia and had the most soothing and lovely facial experience, after which I was hooked! First, she is a professional in every sense of the word! Just look at her bio to see her fabulous training (including being honored as "Student of The Year") at prestigious schools. Second, Emilia is extremely knowledgeable; she understands products, procedures and will become an expert at analyzing your skin. I have tried many different types of facials with Emilia over the past two years and each has been a relaxing experience resulting in beautifully glowing skin! I have gotten used to my clear and radiant skin so I visit Emilia for a facial at least once a month and have been since that first facial in 2016! I wholeheartedly recommend Emilia for any spa experience at Joseph Michael! Please, book a facial with her today! You too will be hooked!

The salon is well maintained and designed. For as many people that work there and even at the very busy times it isn t loud. The front staff is welcoming.

I moved to Chicago 4 years ago, and in that time I never found the stylist who just felt like my hair person until I moved near Joseph Michael Salon. Ronnie is the best, and I trust his judgement and advice on my hair completely. I recently got married and had Ronnie cut and style my hair the day of, and I just kept getting compliments on my hair throughout the night. In fact, every time he cuts my hair, I feel great about it and get a ton of compliments on just how good it looks. I m glad I ve finally found the stylist who is the right fit for me, and I ll be going to Joseph Michael for the long haul.

I love this salon. Great service and exceptional stylists! The team has always been flexible on scheduling which makes such a difference with an unpredictable work schedule.

I hadn't gotten my haircut since August of 2020 because of COVID. I had an idea in mind of what I wanted, but I don't have that much mental space to care about it that much. I saw Alex and she was incredible. She understood where I was and made sure that I had a relaxing visit. She was knowledgeable, skilled, and her "bed side manner" was top tier. She colored my hair beautifully and made me feel like I was part of the process and my input was valid. And don't even get me started about the scalp massage.

All around, I have found my new stylist and I would recommend Alex to anyone. As for the establishment, very clean, COVID conscious, quite, and spacious. It's pricier than the average hair salon, but I didn't think it was egregious compared to where it's located and the kinds of services they provide.

Love Joseph Michael's. Every stylist I've worked with has been wonderful. They listen to what you want and I've always been happy with my hair afterwards. Alexander, Olivia, and Deisy are especially wonderful

Really pleased with my experience here last time. I got a better haircut than what I had been getting at more expensive places. I will definitely come back.
