Jorday Rivera Dance Studio Review

Being new to the area, I was looking for a fun,vibbrant place to let loose! Jorday's offers just exactly that! Everyone's so warm and welcoming! The dance instructors are amazing and super down to eart! Jorday is a loving person who's always sharing her smiles with everyone! I'm glad I found my spot! It's totally worth it! I've been going there since the first week of Jan and the girls I have been dancing with are absolutely incredible! Belly dance classes are definitely a must drop in if you're looking to get your shimmy on!!!!! Love everyone's energy and friendly personality! Glad to be a part of this amazing dance studio! And if you have kids, they have amazing classes for kids!! They have won competitions on a national level!!! I highly recommend Jorday's for beginners as well as advanced dancers!

My fiance and I decided to take salsa lessons because we wanted to learn how to dance. We knew nothing.. except that salsa looked really complicated! After 3 months of classes, we actually feel really confident and actually prepared something for our wedding!

Pros: The staff is amazing and really welcoming. They are all amazing dancers but they are down to earth. They know that the words coming out of their mouths (basic into suzie q with a double flair!) makes no sense but they break it down into ways you do understand and go as slow or as fast as you need them to. It is also a really great workout (my fiance lost a lost of weight! unintentionally!). Furthermore, don't be afraid to go to class alone because there are TONS of single men and women who are looking to learn to dance and need a partner. They also do individual classes if you want, with the instructor of your choice.

Cons: I really have no cons. I would recommend doing the unlimited package and going a couple times a week to get your money's worth. We made it a point to go every Sunday and at least one weekday... and before we knew it we were going 3/4 times a week because it was so much fun and we wanted to not be behind the others! I guess another con is that they usually have the beginners and the intermediate in the same room and you might be in between the levels, but honestly it pushes you to try and dance like the more advance people and if you are in the beginners group but a little more advanced, it helps you work on your technique.

Go buy a pair of dance shoes and get your butt moving!

From the time you walk in they treat you with kindness. The atmosphere surrounding the place is filled with love and happiness. They make you feel you're part of their family.

Jorday Rivera's Dance Studio, is one of the best dance school in Queens, Hand down I have had the best experience bringing my niece to this facility in which they treat the kids like there own family!!!! Mr. Jorday you have to open a Dance Studio in every Borough!!! Love You guys xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

When it comes to skill and professionalism i was blown away by the attention to detail! From the great staff of highly skilled instructors their effective teaching methods i've rarely experienced schools so well organized! I absolutely recommend the experience!

Jorday Rivera s dance studio is amazing! my daughter has been attending for over a year and has grown tremendously as a dancer. The studio has become her second home and she never wants to leave. The instructors are great and devoted to their students. The studio offers such a welcoming environment and all students are cared for.

The salsa and belly dance classes are amazing! Very professional and structured. I look forward to my lessons every week. I highly recommend Jorday's!

Let's start off with the amount times I called and no one ever answers the phone, I thought "Wow they must be that busy". I decided to go in to book this huge event. I was greeted by 3 nice young ladies that either were students or workers. None had any answers to my questions, one of girls went and asked someone else but they didn't have the answers either. One of the girls called the owner and the owner told the girl "they don't do private classes in the summer". I guess they don't take large sums of money durning the summer. I will take my money and future repeating clients to Vibez. Thanks for wasting my time.

Love this studio. It is very family oriented and everyone is always nice and friendly. They offer wide range of dance from belly dance to hiphop.

This studio has a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and Helpful. It offers a huge range of classes for babies and pros and anyone else in between.

Three years ago I searched for a dance school that would bring the star out of my daughter who has a twinkle in her eye and wanted to be a dancer. I also needed a school that would meet my needs as a working mom. Jorday Rivera Dance Studio has done both of those things.
This school offers a variety of dance classes from the traditional ballet and tap to non traditional classes like salsa and belly dancing. There are classes 7 days a week so I was able to fit them into my schedule which includes my son's activities. You are encouraged to make up a class if you miss one so that you won't fall behind and with the many options or, in some cases, sister classes this was easy to do.
The instructors are excellent. They are professional, educated, friendly, and love to dance. They not only teach you the dance steps but they provide you with a dance education. My daughter has learned technical names for most of her moves in ballet, tap, and salsa. I am often surprised when she says things like "watch me do an Arabesque or an Attitude". It is also important to say that their creative choices keeps the dances current and engages the interests from the kids.
And separate from a dance education, the instructors genuinely care for the kids. They are interested in the stories that they tell, support them in their educational endeavors, and provide life lessons, when needed. From a parent's perspective, I am so happy that my daughter has found a place where she can be herself, enjoys every moment that she is there, and works hard to be the best she can be.
The owner, Jorday Rivera, is the rock of this business. Her passion and drive are only second to her talent as a dancer herself. She brings experience in the business to her business. It shows in her professionalism, the results in her year end recitals, and most recently the school winning a National Dance Competition in Atlantic City.
Jorday Rivera Dance Studio has been like a second home to us and I am so happy to have found this school.

Jorday's brings flair and diversity to the dance scene for kids. The instruction is passionate and they are a small family of amor!

This studio has experienced instructors with lots of patients that teaches from ages 2 to adult. My children take multiple classes such as Ballet & Jazz, Hip Hop and Salsa and they never cease to amaze me with all the new things they are learning. At times I drop my kids to their classes and run errands and I am totally comfortable because of the family oriented atmosphere and cleanliness. I'm looking forward to the annual recital and many more years of my kids dancing with Jorday's Dance Studio.

I love this place. My daughter is flipping and doing splits all over the place lol. My daughter gets upset if we can't make the class, so obviously they are an awesome dance school.

Jorday's Dance has been part of my life for more than 15 years. Here I learned the importance of hard work, dedication and most importantly team work. Growing up, dancing was an essential part of my life. it was embedded in me by my parents and childhood friends, but I was never able to develop my dance skills until I went to Jorday's studio as young adult. Dancing is very important to me, but finding the right place in which you can learn and develop the skills that you naturally possess is not easy. At Jorday's Studio I learned to dance salsa and enjoyed the most amazing years of my life. As soon as you walk in the studio you can feel the love and how family oriented this place is. I now have a daughter and, of course, she is taking dance lessons here. She is only six but you can see the potential. Only at Jorday's Dance studio Children from all ages are performing at higher level than many other schools. This is thanks to all the wonderful instructors and to its owner and founders Jorday Rivera and Tiffany Rivera. If you ever want to go to a dance school where you have a menu of selection of classes in all styles, Jorday's Dance Studio is the place to go. I'm happy and so is my daughter.

This place is like a 2nd home. Everyone is beyond nice & nuturing. Teachers go above & beyond to make sure you get it. They will make sure you leave with a clear understand & if not, they are all aproachable & you can talk with them after class & they will still help you with some pointers. My granddaughter has been attending this fabulous dance school for 5 years . Every year at recital I am amazed at the growth and development in her talent. The staff is always very professional and there to assist with any concerns!

What a great, positive place. The teachers are into teaching the kids and the school is able to provide fun for hobbyists while giving focus to anyone who wants to get serious.

My daughter has been attending Jorday's studio for over four years. Jorday and her staff are exemplary. Not only is the staff highly skilled and professional, but they are kind, humble and dedicated to the students. Jorday puts her heart into the studio. She is available any time to answer questions or assist with any issues and she does it all with an unwavering smile. It is more than a studio, it is like a family. Jorday Rivera Dance Studio is excellent! It's very diverse and incorporate both technical and modern classes. There competition team is evolutionary and breathe taking. They have won first place in nationals which also emphasizes the phenomenal teachers and choreographers. Their summer intensive program is also amazing. I love coming to the studio. It make dancing not only fun, but a passion I would never replace.

My daughter began dance class this year as a two year old. I absolutely love this studio. She has learned so much in the past few months.The teachers are welcoming, super patient, and extremely talented. I look forward to watching my child as a dance student for years to come in this studio.

This place is amazing in every sense! Looking for a place was a bit frustrating at first, but I hit jackpot with this studio. The staff (Jorday and everyone else) are very talented and super nice, and the students are a bunch of fun. I signed up for belly dance classes (had never done it before) and I felt truly welcomed :) I went to the studio on and off because I travel for work which makes it difficult, but they were so encouraging every time that it kept me motivated to keep coming back. The monthly package is a great deal if you plan to come twice or more times per week (once you try it you will come 2+ times/week). I also tried other dances (salsa, bachata, ballet) and all the instructors I had were a blast. I will join again as soon as my work allows, I miss it so much!

I've been a part of the Jorday team since 2005 and here I am today still part of the family. They offer several different styles of dance you can learn at any age such as ballet, contemporary, salsa, jazz, hip-hop, bellydance, and much more. They even offer private lessons for those who prefer it. To prove the hard work, talent and passion the students have at the studio, they added a competition team which they've been killing! Winning these awards proves how hard and determined both the teachers and students are. The main goal of the studio is for you to grow as a dancer and person with as much fun as possible. Every June, Jorday has a recital displaying the vigorous work the students danced to throughout the year. Prior to going to Jorday's, they never had a recital until my mother suggested it and ever since then, it became the studio's tradition. What really sticks out the most of this studio is that everyone here is like family; the part of the family you love to visit! The family that loves you, cares for you, laughs with you and is there for you. They want to grow with you. This is why I always stuck with this studio because I can never imagine leaving my family. I recommend this studio every time someone asks me where I dance because to me it's home. Not trying to sound bias or anything like that, but to have a studio that intentionally wants the best for you is what makes it so appealing. I was a shy young girl who wasn't into dancing at first, but with years of learning and practicing, I'm proud of the dancer I've become. I love dance and it's always going to be a part of my life because of this studio.

Joining the Jorday Dance School has been one of the best decisions I've made . I take all of the belly dance classes and can honestly say that I feel like part of a dance family. All the dance instructors are super talented and want to see their students grow. Jorday is an amazing person , and will go to great lengths to make sure everyone is taken care of. The best part of this dance school besides the amazing talented teachers is that everyone is welcomed with open arms .

This is a place where they don't just treat you like clients. You are treated like family from the beginning. My daughter is 8 years old and she counts the days and hours to each one of her classes. They engage her in everything even with her special needs due to CP. Their patience, skills and understanding of each individuals strengths and weaknesses make them one of the best schools around. We love Jorday's Dance School!!!

The reviews are accurate and true. This is our first year at Jorday Rivera's Dance Studio. My son is six yrs old and my daughter is eight yrs old. They take Salsa and Hip Hop classes. My kids have been dancing with Jorday for SIX months and it is unbelievable to see! Not only are they dancing salsa on 2 but also learning partner work. My son has learned how to cross body lead and my daughter recently mastered a triple turn. Jorday does her magic! My kids also love the Hip Hop class. Dancing to the classics as well as the new school. Jorday and her staff are wonderful and extremely energetic! We travel to Queens weekly and it is well worth it!

Lovely studio with many different options to choose from. There's belly dancing, salsa, hip hop, ballet and Zumba just to name a few. The instructors work with you and your child and you will see your child flourish. My daughter has developed a level of self confidence and self esteem she didn't have before joining Jordays. My daughter has taken classes at Jorday's Dance Studio since she was almost 2 years old. Now that she is 12 years old, she loves dancing and feels that the studio is her second home. The students work as a team and help each other. As a mom, you want the best for your kids. Jorday Rivera's Dance Studio is the best. Jorday Rivera's Dance Studio has done so much for me ever since I joined. Not only have they taught me to dance, they also have made my love for dance even greater. The teachers are phenomenal. They have taught me so many new skills and technique in less than a year. This is such a diverse and lovable studio, and is unlike any other. Overall they have made my experience quite memorable and have shown me that it's not just a studio, it's another family.

The best dance studio ever! Great teachers, great studio! I ve heard a lot about them, in the past my kids went to three different studios, however it was not in a professional level and I decided to try JRDS. I was amazed! We are with them now for three years and I m only regretting that I didn t switch earlier!

Amazing instructors and fun atmosphere. Its like a little family after a while. I took Salsa and Bellydance there. Best part is that most if not all of the instructors are also performance dancers and have been dancing for upwards of 10+ years, so they really know what they are teaching and can really explain not only how to do the moves but the history of the dancing style.

I had 2 left feet before i took classes here! Now im super confident in just grabing a random person and showing off my skills! I had a great experience, they are very professional and patient. Highly recommended!

Jorday's is a great place I don't know how to dance , if you never danced in a studio before and especially if you love to dance. I'm a student in Jorday Riveria's Dance Studio in the Summer Intensive Workshop and for my first time here I love it. I look Forward to coming next and to start taking classes in the fall.

Jorday's studio is very family oriented. With anyone that comes in , Jorday greets them with a big smile and hello. She makes sure all of the children are taken care of as they would be at home.
