Jordan Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned winery located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. The winery was founded in 1972 by Tom and Sally Jordan, who were inspired by the great wines of France and wanted to create their own world-class wines in California.
Today, Jordan Vineyard & Winery is known for its commitment to sustainability and producing wines that are balanced, elegant, and age-worthy. The winery has been certified sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance since 2008.

The Wines
Jordan Vineyard & Winery produces two main varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Both varietals are grown on the estate's sustainably farmed vineyards in Alexander Valley.
The Cabernet Sauvignon is known for its balance between fruitiness and tannins. It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
The Chardonnay is fermented in French oak barrels with native yeasts before being aged for six months on its lees (the dead yeast cells left over from fermentation). This process gives the wine a creamy texture with notes of vanilla and spice.
In addition to these two main varietals, Jordan also produces a small amount of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier Rosé de Syrah (a rosé made from Syrah grapes), as well as sparkling wine made using traditional méthode champenoise techniques.
Sustainability
Jordan Vineyard & Winery has been committed to sustainability since its founding over four decades ago. In 2015 they became one of only three wineries worldwide to receive both ISO 14001 environmental management certification and ISO 9001 quality management certification.
Their sustainable practices include:

- Recycling all grape pomace (the skins left over after pressing) into compost
