Dr. Paine is fantastic, unfortunately you have to deal with the office staff (Lydia). If everything goes fine they are great, but if there is a problem they are very rude and inconsiderate. When you are disabled and in pain you are just looking for help, there is no need for that kind of treatment.

I am giving Dr. Paine 5 stars, but the description "Loved it" doesn't apply. Loved HIM and his STAFF is more appropriate. How do you rate someone who gave you your life back (twice). Without the talent, care, professionalism, kindness and understanding I received from Dr. Paine and his beautiful staff I can say with certainty that I would not be here. Back pain can reduce you to not wanting to go on and I had reached that point. My case was expedited as urgent and a week after my surgery I was able to watch my son graduate from college. I was a bit (or more than a bit) medicated, but I was there and it would not have been possible without Dr. Paine and his staff. I will possibly always be in some level of pain, but it is pain that is manageable. And except for circumstances out of my control, keeping my back safe from further injury is up to me. I will always keep Dr. Paine in my heart.

Dr Jonathan Paine is the best of the best. I had to have two separate surgeries in two different areas in 2001 and 2008. I am a true success story, no limitations. I d never use another doctor but Dr Paine if I had to have surgery again. His compassion and care for his patients are truly genuine. I have recommended Dr Paine to friends in the past. if you need to have surgery please consider him.

Dr. Paine is very knowledgeable, honest, and caring. He was able to complete a surgery that other neurosurgeons wouldn't dare. He was very careful with the planning and care after my surgery. He saved my life. The aftercare has been just as thoughtful. His staff and nurses are amazing too. Can't say "thank you" enough for all of them

I went to Dr Paine after I had lumbar laser surgery that didn't work. Dr Paine gave me new life in 2010. He again did cervical spine surgery in 2014. I am completely satisfied and recommend him highly. Staff is very professional and helpful.

I wanted to thank everyone at Dr. Paine's office including the Dr. Himself. Your staff is so friendly and caring. I was in pain for a year and a half. He did not rush me into surgery and told me I should do everything else before considering surgery. Ultimately I decided to go forward with surgery since nothi g was working. I have to say the first 3 days was very painful after surgery and thought I had made a horrible mistake. But by day 4 the pain was becoming less. I had a microdisectomy of the L5 and was crushing my S1 sciatica. I'm 6 weeks post op and I feel so much better. I am able to stand, walk and do things I was unable to do for a long while. I still have some sciatic pain when i move my left leg the wrong way but nothing like it was. I have some nerve damage but that will take some time to heal. I'm only taking muscle relaxers at this point when I over due it. I'm happy I don't have to go to pain management anymore because nothing they were doing was given me any long term relief. You are in good hands with Dr. Paine and his wonderful staff.

At first I got an appt. 4 months out even thought I explained to the staff I was type 2 diabetic and on steroids to be able to move and keep out of pain. I got my general doctor's office to push that by a few months thankfully. When I got into the exam room he looked over my MRI and the reports of such as I explained that while I did have pain when not taking the steroids I also had a lot of trouble just being able to move my limbs. (Not from pain) All he suggested was pain management, honestly I could deal with the pain if I could just move!
