Please STOP blaming shipping delay on pandemic. Everything everywhere else is shipping just fine, I live in NY one of the most strict states on COVID & no issues sending & reviving goods. In fact my purchase hasn't even left your warehouse yet, so it's totally not a 3rd party issue. Please ship our goods we purchased we are approaching week 2 now!

Johnny's was my go to. My log in has been locked out. Really not amused. This company prides itself on selling Organic, Non GMO, Earth friendly products. Why do they keep sending me half a dozen paper catalogues by snail mail. 2 or more emails a week, coupon offers etc. STOP, your polluting , wasting $$$. I want SEEDS!
I have purchased seeds from Johnny's Seeds for over 25 years in a row, as well as from over a dozen other seed companies in my 40 years of home gardening. In all that time, I've never experienced the poor support I've gotten this year from Johnny's. I ordered early as always. Their shipment took well over 2 weeks, twice the time for any other of the 6 companies I used. When it was received on a Saturday, they left out a very time-sensitive product. I immediately called, and found they refused to even connect me because they only serve home gardeners mid-week. I called on the first possible day, and was only told they'd look into it and get back to me. They didn't, so I called the next day, got someone else who made a rather flimsy garbled excuse about their COVID issues, but that it was now ready to be sent out. I heard nothing for a week, so I called again and was told it was still in the warehouse with my name on it, and I would get an email when it was sent. Now it's days later, no seeds, no email, and I'm totally discouraged. Johnny's evidently doesn't want to serve home gardeners, and that's OK - just be upfront about it like Stokes Seeds. I would strongly recommend gardeners avoid doing any further business with this company - Burpee, Park Seeds, Harris Seeds, Jung Seeds, and Pinetree Seeds all have fine offerings and wonderful service!
I've been ordering from Johnny's Selected Seeds for years. I order my seeds exclusively from them now, I have also ordered raspberry and blueberry plants from them (all of which are now thriving). The seeds are always high quality. Their website has a tremendous amount of growing information. Just about everything you see in the attached photo is connected to Johnny's.
I have always shopped Canadian, but decided to give johnny's a try. Johnny's (1) shipped extremely faster, I ordered seeds from local Ontario suppliers a month ago and still have not received them, but my Johnny's order came in 1 week (2) better selection (3) cheaper prices ever after the currency exchange. Will be buying from here next year FOR SURE
Love & Hate. Love their variety & their services but their prices are way too high! I been spending my money more & more elsewhere as I find significantly lower prices on just about everything! I am talking 20% average here. What a shame
I have placed two orders so far this Spring and am very pleased. The seeding rates have been great so far and my seedlings are off to great starts. The website is easy to use and offers tons of information for novice gardeners like myself. Will gladly pay a bit more for Johnny's premium seeds! Thank you, Johnny's!
Super friendly service and knowledgeable staff. High quality organic seeds and high tech gardening machines. Their shop is also a source for modern organic farming literature.
I've used them for 5 years now. I know a lot of home gardeners are disappointed by their policy to serve small farms first during the pandemic, but on the other hand ... Gardening is a hobby for me, it's not an income stream that I need to pay my bills or pay employees. I understand their decision. That said, I ordered early this year and was fortunate that most of what I wanted was in stock. My order arrived 2 weeks after I placed it, which is a decent turnaround time all things considered. And it was 100% correct.
One thing I appreciate about their seeds is that they are honest about the disease resistance and yields you should expect. They also seem to understand short season growing, and mark the greenhouse friendly plants clearly in the catalog. That's all useful information for me. So far they've been honest about their products and their choices during this pandemic ... I'd rather see that than be promised the world and receive far less.
I ve been purchasing Johnny seeds for over 20 years. Service, variety and quality were always great until the past two years. Small quantity packets are frequently out of stock or backordered. This year ordering online the first 5 items were out of stock. I ve decided to take my business elsewhere.
