We have nothing but great things to say about Todd Powers from Jock in the Box! He was recommended to us from coworkers who also hired him for their wedding and he exceeded all expectations! Not only were his music choices perfect, but he is a great MC and had our guests roaring with excitement all night long! He worked with us during COVID and made sure our day was safe and memorable - we can t thank him enough!
Jock in the box is a must have. We used them at our wedding and have been to weddings as guests that they were DJing and the dance floor is always packed. They know how to get everyone up and stay out there! They're very professional, courteous, and always get back to you in a timely manner. Wedding planning is stressful, but we were never stressed about our DJ because we had jock in the box!
Ten days later and we are still getting phone calls about what a great job DJ Todd did at our wedding! Even during a parking lot wedding he got the guests up and dancing, singing along, and just having a blast. From our first meeting at a bridal expo, we knew that Todd had the energy and the right vibe for our wedding. I'd say that he's like 70% the reason for an amazing wedding, possibly more! I watch the Live Edit practically daily. And the Magic Mirror photos are better than any photo booth I've ever seen!
It was great to work with Todd and the Jock in the Box team to get exactly what I didn't realize I needed! Seventeen days before my wedding I was looking for someone to livestream the ceremony, on my wedding day I was at ease knowing that DJ services and livestream services were all taken care of. For having such short time to plan and coordinate, communication was great!

My wife and I were married in Feb. '21 and had the pleasure of working with Todd Powers and Jock in the Box as our DJ for our reception. Literally, cannot write enough good things about Todd and JITB! If you are looking for an awesome DJ that will make you feel like a king and queen on your special day, look no further!
Todd was incredibly thorough, going through the plan for our wedding well in advance to take the pressure off as the day gets nearer. On the day off, Todd did an amazing job keeping the flow of events on time and keeping everyone involved. In my experience, the DJ really sets the tone for the reception and Todd made sure everyone had a great time. The JITB system for building a wedding playlist was incredibly easy and took much of the stress off this critical aspect.
While, hopefully, "COVID weddings" will not be around for much longer, Todd was incredibly helpful in adapting to last minute changes. About 2 days before the event we found out my wife's brother was not going to be able to be present, Todd rigged up a large TV and a laptop so that her brother was able to join the party from his living room. This was so special for us and is something that we will never forget.
If you cannot tell, we loved having Todd and JITB be a part of our day and would recommend using them to anyone else getting married!
Booking Jock in the Box was absolutely one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding day! Right from the start this vendor was incredible to work with. Their online platform for booking is super organized and helped make the process easy! We were also a wedding that was impacted by COVID and that took a lot of the joy and excitement out of planning. However, meeting with Todd a couple weeks before the day to solidify song choices brought all the excitement back! He had a great energy during our meeting and he brought that same energy on our wedding day! I have no doubt that our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without Todd. He listened to what we envisioned for our day and truly brought it to life while also keeping safety in mind. If you're looking for a DJ stop looking because you've found them! We can't thank Jock in the Box enough!
Stevie is the man. He was great during our consultation and was so easy to work with leading up to and during our wedding.
We sat down with him a couple weeks before our wedding and discussed the vibe we wanted and some of the songs that had to be played. He crushed it. Stevie was the pulse to our reception. He kept playing jam after jam and kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. He was great at abiding to the do not play list and was a beast at fending people off from putting in requests (that s what we wanted). People still talk about the music when they talk to me about our wedding. I have never seen so many people on a dance floor at a wedding at one time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
We had Todd (owner of jock in the box) as our wedding DJ for our May 1st wedding at the Riverhouse at Goodspeed station. To sum it up, he was amazing. We honestly couldn t have asked for anyone better (and we have been to a lot of weddings). His talent, professionalism, and leadership are truly top notch. He has a great software to help you pre-plan. He is very responsive- even with the crazy year we ve had. And, he adds little touches throughout the process that mean everything. We received so many compliments about him from our guests. The music he played catered to everyone and got everyone on the dance floor. He directed us throughout the night if we needed it and his energy and genuine kindness stood out to us from the first time we spoke to him. Highly recommend Jock in the box for your wedding DJ!!!
One of the best decisions we made for our reception was hiring Steve as our DJ from Jock in the Box. The energy he brought to our reception was incredible. You call tell he is truly passionate about his job. He was punctual, professionally dressed and brought and packed up all of his own equipment. Working with him was a breeze! He FaceTimed with us a few days before to make sure everything was to our liking, and to make sure he was pronouncing everyone name correctly. He was so accommodating; literally 15 minutes before we walked in for our reception we wanted to make a change to the order and he was perfectly okay with it. He was even kind enough to play our ceremony video for our guests during cocktail hour; we got married on our original date when we could only have ten people in attendance. Our guests loved the video! Also, the volume was perfect. Even our guests seated near the speakers were very happy with the sound projection. And on top of all this, Steve came to get us when it was time to cut the cake, have the parents dances, and when it was time to throw the bouquet. In doing so, our reception flowed perfectly and we were able to fully enjoy all of these special moments without feeling rushed.

Mixing old classics with new popular favorites, Todd caters your experience to the crowd while also honoring your specific requests (including a Do NOT Play List ), making everyone feel comfortable and lively all at once. Thanks to him, we witnessed the most stoic of guests unleash their inner groove, in the middle of a dance circle no less! We sincerely cannot recommend Todd highly enough and will undoubtedly be calling upon him again for future events. Thanks so much again, Todd!
